Race Preview
R1 – PRIX ALFRED SAINT-PALAIS – 2000m (a1 1/4m) – ALL WEATHER – Condition Race – Flat – EUR € 22.000
1. MON BEL CANTO – Super consistent and always in the money, and should again make a bold
bit at winning this race. Big chance
2. NORDESTE – Last victory was in June this year but has placed twice since. Can contest the
finish this distance
3. HEADHUNTER – Has won four of last five and placed second in the other. In good form and can
be considered
4. SEAGALI – Only one victory from fifteen attempts and did place third in penultimate start. Has a
place chance
5. CELESTIN – Won latest and is a six time winner from twenty eight attempts and can be involved
at the finish
6. PRINCE ANODIN – Placed third in latest and can get into the action as is a six time winner
overall. Not out of it
7. JUREER – Placed fourth in latest attempt in a conditions race and could at best place again here
8. EL SUENO – Placed third in latest and that was its best effort to date. Place prospects with
improvement a possibility
9. OBELIX DA TORRE – Last victory was in February 2022 but did place second in latest and could
place again at best
Summary : A competitive looking race. MON BEL CANTO (1) is very reliable and looks the one
they all have to beat. CELESTIN (5) returned to best with a nice win last time out and could be a
threat. PRINCE ANODIN (6) was not disgraced when third last time out and is a danger.
NORDESTE (2) may need to do more to beat these rivals but can earn some more money.

1. TRUJILLO – Last win was in 2022. Has struggled of late and needs to find a few lengths to win
this race
2. JASMIN DORE – Won a handicap over 1400m on the turf in May but has struggled in three runs
since. Seventh at this course in a handicap over 1400m last time out. Others are preferred
3. WAIPA – Won a handicap on turf in penultimate start but has really struggled on this surface.
Probably best watched this time
4. O GRE DES SAISONS – Much improved of late with two wins in last five starts. Runner-up at
this track last time out and can go one better
5. SHANGRI LA – Unreliable and has been best in Spain. Well beaten in handicap on the turf over
this distance last time out. Others are preferred
6. GOLONDRINA – Modest first three starts and was well beaten on handicap debut. Tries the PSF
and can improve but others are preferred
7. IDAHO JAMES – Won a handicap over this distance in April but has struggled since then and
was only eight in a handicap at this course last time out. Others are preferred
8. ROYAL VATI – A bit of a disappointment when only seventh at this course last time out. Won
three over this course and distance earlier this year. Can bounce back to score
9. IS SUR TILLE – Very consistent again this year and does like this course. Drop in distance can
be an issue. Can upset
10. KING’S CAPRICE – Won a race over this distance on the turf in August. Has struggled since
then and was well beaten at this course in February. Others are preferred
11. KARIBBEAN DREAM – Last win was in January but has struggled since then and was well
beaten in a handicap at this course last time out. Others are preferred
12. VICTORY CAT – Disappointing last run when sixth at this track in a handicap over 1400m.
Capable of doing better and is not out of it
13. MONA LISA – More than a year since last win and has been well tried this year. Needs to find
a few lengths to win this race
14. JUSTE BERE – On a long losing run but is in good form at the moment. Ran well at this course
last time out and has a winning chance
15. RUMESNIL – Has yet to win a race and is very unreliable. Capable of popping up in a place if
at best
16. RIONEGRO – On a long losing run but was not disgraced when third over this distance last time
out in a handicap . Has also run well over this track and trip before. Can upset
Summary : A lot of dead wood in this handicap. JUSTE BERE (14) has not won for some time but
did run well over this course and distance last time out and could be ready to score. ROYAL VATI
(8) won three over this course and earlier this year and can bounce back to score. VICTORY CAT
(12) is capable of doing better and deserves some respect. O GRE DES SAISONS (4) is improving
and clearly not out of it.

1. VALINA – Unreliable and was well beaten the last time she tried a handicap but she did run well
when runner-up last time out. Deserves respect
2. SO HI STORM – In good form of late and has been runner-up in last two starts. This is a tougher
race. Might place
3. YSSINGEAUX – Disappointing last run when seventh in a handicap on this surface. Has been
struggling on this surface this year and others are preferred
4. CODE OF SILENCE – Last win was at this course in 2022. has only been modest of late and
needs to find a few lengths to win
5. ITALO – Won twice over this course and distance in January. Has not won since but indicated a
form return when third last time out and has a big winning chance
6. OLIVA – Has yet to win a race after 14 starts. Modest last two runs in Spain and others are
preferred
7. LEXINGTON FORCE – On a long losing run since only win. In fair form of late and has run well
at this course before. Not out of it
8. CASH RULER – Has not shown much in three starts so far. Tries the PSF for handicap debut
and is capable of vast improvement
9. CHIEF RED CLOUD – More than a year since only win and was well beaten in a handicap at this
course last time out. Others are preferred
10. JAMILA – Has yet to win a race. Has been runner-up a couple of times in Spain but needs to
do more to win this race
11. LA FIBRE – Has lost his way since winning a handicap on this surface in July. Probably best
watched this time
12. STIRLING – Not disgraced when sixth in a claimer last time out. Better this distance and can
contest the finish
13. VIRIMOON ETOILE – Won a handicap over this course and distance in 2021. Has run some
fair races this year and has a place chance
14. MARVELOUS CAPRICE – More than a year since only win. Well beaten in a handicap last time
out on the turf but can improve trying this surface
15. HOOK – Unreliable this year and has been better in claimers. More needed to win but could
earn some minor money
16. AS A CHARM – More than a year since last win but did run well when fourth in a handicap last
time out. Can do even better this time
Summary : ITALO (5) loves this course and distance and won two of them in January. A good
recent run suggests he could be ready to strike again. AS A CHARM (16) ran well when fourth in a
handicap last time out and can do even better this time. STIRLING (12) is best around this distance
and could be a threat. LEXINGTON FORCE (7) is in fair form of late and has run well at this course.

1. DOCTOR RON – Needed his comeback run when twelfth at this course last time out. Can
improve and has a place chance
2. OXALIS – Unreliable but he has won four times this year. Fair fourth over further last time out
but has won on this surface and over this distance. Respect
3. OXIANA – Well tried after winning in January without winning but she ran well when third in a
handicap at this course last time out. Go close
4. RAKAN – Disappointing two runs in claimers after returning from a break. Capable of
improvement back in a handicap but others are preferred
5. MY BLACK LADY – Knocking hard at the door of late with two runner-up performances in
handicaps. Better this distance and can score again
6. CAESARS PALACE – Much improved this year with three wins and two runner-up performances.
Those were all on the turf though and he struggled on this surface last year
7. GALILODGE – Disappointing last two runs and has yet to win over this distance. Others are
preferred this time
8. FLY D’ASPE – Won over this course and distance last year. Fair form without winning this year
and was not disgraced when fourth in a handicap at this course last time out. Not out of it
9. ATLANTIGO – Unreliable since winning twice in April. Well beaten at this track last time out and
others are preferred
10. MYBOYFRIEND – Disappointing recent form and was well beaten on this surface last time out.
Drop in distance can spark improvement but others are preferred
11. SILVER SILENT – Well tried this year without winning. Has run some fair races this year and is
capable of earning some money
12. UNAMUNO – Only modest in four starts since winning a claimer in June. Needs to do more to
win this race
13. LOUIS SKI – Both his wins were last year. In good form of late and has won on this surface
before. Not out of it
14. SHOWMAN – Won a claimer in June but has struggled in two handicaps since then. Probably
best watched this time
15. NUIT D’ALIENOR – Much improved of late with two wins in last four starts. A good winner last
time out in a handicap but carries a 3kg penalty. Place chance
16. AZUR AS WELL – Disappointing last run when well beaten in a handicap over this distance
last time out. Has run well at this course before and could be the surprise package of the race
Summary : MY BLACK LADY (5) has been runner-up twice recently over a bit shorter and she is
better this distance. She can go one better. OXIANA (3) was third in a handicap at this course last
time out and should be a lively danger. FLY D’ASPE (8) was not too far behind rivals last time out
and is a course and distance winner. OXALIS (2) is unreliable of late but has won four times this
year.
