Last-start winner, ATTENTION, should nearly strike immediately for the new stable when he resumes in the 1200m Class 4 contest at Kuala Lumpur on Sunday.
The recent acquisition for the in-form Simon Dunderdale stable has been freshened since winning over the 1250m trip here on September 9. The nine-year-old came within half a length behind Selangor Gold Cup winner, Pasir Pinji, when he was the runner-up in his previous start.
That should prove to be a reliable form line for ATTENTION, who has developed into a versatile performer by scoring over a range of distances. The gelding goes well first-up and will prove hard to beat despite the 3kg weight rise.
Lim’s in Unique form
Consistent galloper, LIM’S UNIQUE, will have his chance to break his Class 4 hoodoo over the 1400m journey.
Besides his two Class 5 victories, LIM’S UNIQUE has secured six minor placings in Class 4 grade this year. The seven-year-old caught the eye in his past two starts, including a fast-finishing second over 1800m here three weeks ago.
LIM’S UNIQUE is a moderate beginner with a sharp turn-of-foot and can bounce back with the drop back to 1400m.
Legend Ninety Two can make it three
In-form galloper LEGEND NINETY TWO looks set to secure a winning hat-trick in the 1300m Class 5 event.
Since joining the Sharee Hamilton stables recently, LEGEND NINETY TWO has shown rapid improvement and struck form, winning two races out of two starts for the camp.
The five-year-old clinched victories over 1100m and 1200m, showcasing a similar sprinting style by making late moves from rearward positions on both occasions. Despite carrying 2kg more from his last win, LEGEND NINETY TWO is poised to take advantage of another Class 5 victory this weekend.
