Last-start winner ARION SUCCESS will attempt to maintain his unbeaten record in the country when he steps out in the 1100m Class 4 contest at Kuala Lumpur on Sunday.
ARION SUCCESS made an immediate impression when resuming from a fifteen-month spell, leading throughout at this track and distance on October 15. The six-year-old displayed an abundance of early speed and relished the front-running role, winning by 2.5 lengths while carrying the top weight of 59kg.
ARION SUCCESS is a proven weight carrier; however, during his previous campaign, he took out a Class 5 event in Singapore with 59kg.
Elsewhere,in-form galloper LIM’S BETTERREADY will be aiming for back-to-back wins in the 1700m Class 4 event.
LIM’S BETTERREADY has thrived since joining the Selangor stables of Lawson Moy earlier this year, securing three wins from five Malaysian starts. The six-year-old easily dominated the competition over 1500m here on October 21, displaying prowess in only his second appearance in Class 4 company.
Currently showcasing career-best form, LIM’S BETTERREADY gives the impression that the extended distance will be favorable as he ventures into the 1700m trip for the first time.
Just a two-race card on Saturday at Penang, with Bonny Ng-trained galloper BIG POWER appearing poised for a triumphant comeback in the 1200m Class 5 contest.
BIG POWER has maintained consistent performance this year, securing two wins, one of which was a victory over this track and distance back in March. In the most recent race here, the six-year-old started moderately, took some time to accelerate, and surged towards the end to finish 2nd, trailing by three lengths on October 14.
