Promising galloper DABBLE appears set to continue his rich vein of form this season when he lines up in the 1075m Class 3 contest at Kuala Lumpur on Sunday.
With a season record of four wins from nine starts, DABBLE has been freshened since scoring against a strong line up at his only appearance on the inner track here just over a month ago.
On that occasion, the five-year-old sped to the front and virtually dictated the pace to lead throughout, posting a comprehensive 4.25 length victory. Despite the 3kg rise in weight, DABBLE should prove hard to beat.
Elsewhere, the Richard Lines-trained galloper STAR TALENT has a chance of returning to winning form in the 1075m Class 4 event.
STAR TALENT should benefit from his first run in 11 months when placed over 1100m here on November 19. The six-year-old appeared short of a run but would have lost no admirers when finishing third, four lengths from the winner.
STAR TALENT has won second-up previously and his reliability and speed from the barriers will place him in good stead for a forward showing come Sunday.
Trainer Sharee Hamilton rose to an outright second in the trainer’s premiership courtesy of six winners in Selangor last weekend. She will saddle up the in-form BATTLESTAR, who is targeting a winning hat-trick in the 1200m Class 4 contest in Penang on Saturday.
BATTLESTAR has made rapid improvement this year with a season-best six wins from 16 starts and is backing up quickly from his winning performance seven days prior.
Following successive victories over 1075m and 1200m in Kuala Lumpur, the six-year-old will carry a similar weight and looks poised for further success on the northern circuit this weekend.
