Eight-year-old campaigner, WHITE HOOF BIRD, is poised for a winning return in the 1300m Metro A contest at Kuala Lumpur on Saturday.
WHITE HOOF BIRD resumed from a six-month break here three weeks ago and closed off well to finish 2nd behind the locally unbeaten performer, Shimi Go.
WHITE HOOF BIRD has been sparingly raced this year, with only three starts for the 2023 season so far, including a minor placing in the 1200m G1 Tunku Gold Cup back in May. With three wins from five starts over this track and journey, the Johnny Lim-trained gelding performs well second up and should prove hard to beat.
Charming Win to deliver maiden victory
Three-year-old galloper, CHARMING WIN, seems poised to break through in the 1100m Open Maiden this Saturday.
CHARMING WIN has displayed plenty of promise since his local debut in September, posting three minor placings from three starts to date. The three-year-old cost himself any opportunity when rearing at the start before finishing runner-up behind stablemate Military Flag here on December 3.
CHARMING WIN could have finished much closer than the 5.25 length margin, and with a cleaner getaway, he should break the maiden tag for trainer Simon Dunderdale.
