RACE 1 (10 – 4 – 3 – 7)
SIR ELTON (10) draws the inside on the minimum weight and gets his chance to break through at his fifth Malaysian start. With six wins over the mile, SUCCESS STREET (4) rises to his favourite distance and will benefit from the claim also. Veteran campaigner, MULTIBLUE SHARK (3) has recaptured his best form and is capable of breaking the 545 day winning drought. KING OF GLORY (7) has a good record in this distance range and can improve.
RACE 2 (7 – 1 – 3 – 4)
BLACK TAIPAN (7) was well supported and closed off well over 1400m here at the last meeting. Draws wide but he is a moderate beginner anyway. INTROIT (1) has scored five times over the mile and came from last to finish 5th over 1400m here last start. TRIPLE ONE STAR (3) is a reliable beginner and should settle on the pace. SUPREME SUCCESS (4) ran his best race at when reeling off a quick sectional to finish just outside the placings here on December 17.
RACE 3 (4 – 8 – 6 – 2)
TRAFALGAR (4) is back with Richard Lines and the 8yo trialled very well in KL Tuesday week ago. ANOTHER SHOW (8) is coming off three minor placings in a row and is ready to strike third up. ROCK ME EASY (6) didn’t appear comfortable in the wet going last time but still has claims after successive wins in November. GOLDEN CUP (2) was a 6L winner three starts back and has maintained solid form since.
RACE 4 (2 – 5 – 4 – 3)
LOOKS GOOD (2) has descended back to a winnable rating and can bounce back at his first run for the KF Wong stable. HEX MARK (5) broke the maiden tag recently and is capable of going back to back. ASIAN JET (4) was suited by a fast speed when coming from near last to win over 1200m and looks a chance again. READY TO SEVENLUCK (3) may have to utilize his early pace from the wide gate and could provide the value with luck in running.
RACE 5 (9 – 2 – 1 – 3)
NINGALOO (9) has the early speed to land a forward position from the wide barrier and looks a winning chance on the minimum. TAU KEH SOH (2) is racing well in this grade and deserves a victory. GEORGETOWN (1) wasn’t far away in Penang last Saturday and benefits from the 3kg claim on the seven day backup. BALL AND CHAIN (3) has been racing consistently and should run well from the freshen up.
RACE 6 (4 – 2 – 1 – 5)
KNIGHT LOVE (4) was specked in the market at his first Malaysian start and closed off well. The 7yo draws well and will strip fitter. KRATOS (2) has led and finished runner up his past two starts so is ready to win also. HARVEYWALLBANGER (1) will go up 8kg following his 5L win last start when leading throughout over 1200m. STORM TO WIN (5) can improve on recent form.
RACE 7 (8 – 5 – 7 – 9)
BOSSKU (8) posted four successive placings prior to his recent failure but the booking of S Ruzaini is a plus. PROVOCATEUR (5) has not won since May 2021 but is nearing a victory following his last start 2nd when beaten a neck. WINTERFELL (7) can be hard to follow at times but his recent run indicated a win is near. COUNTRY LAW (9) remains a maiden but his placing two starts ago keeps him under notice.
RACE 8 (5 – 3 – 4 – 1)
MICHIKAWA (5) was unlucky not to win here recently after a moderate beginning and looks a chance of reversing the result on SUSPICIOUS MIND (3) this time around. SILENT BOSS (4) has won five times over 1400m and will be suited by the distance drop. INHERIT (1) also possesses a good record at this journey and will benefit from the apprentice claim.
