It is said that a positive attitude will lead to positive outcomes.

Well, the Joe Soma-trained Positive Attitude seems to prove this saying, as he has scored three wins and five places from 14 career starts, always giving his best.

When this Rafeef-gelding lines up at the Vaal on Thursday 7 March in Race 5, a MR80 Handicap over 2400m, followers can rest assured that he will produce the most positive run he is capable of on the day.

Jockey Chase Maujean had been tasked with riding Positive Attitude in his last two outings and, with the results undeniable proof that they pair up exceptionally well, it is no surprise that the jockey has been retained to do the steering.

It must be noted, however, that Positive Attitude finished just 0.5-lengths ahead of reopposing Fushimi Inari last time out and on very similar terms, it should get close again.

Trained by Stuart Pettigrew, Fushimi Inari looks to be a champion stayer in the making.

This Danon Platina-gelding is just three years old, but has impressed in his last two runs over 2000m and 2600m respectively.

He was also unlucky last time out when he seemed to be a bit bullied by his elders.

The Paul Matchett-trained Monsieur Chevelle is another with claims having finished runner-up in his last two, both over 2400m.

In Race 7, a MR80 Handicap over 1500m, Fully Loaded must be full of confidence to complete a hat-trick.

Nine top-three finishes in his last ten runs is ample proof that he holding form like a well-oiled machine.

Fabian Habib’s runner will, however, have to up his game as re-opposing Moola Man is much better weighted this time round thanks to the 4kg claim of apprentice jockey Nirvan Nastily.

Then there is also Silvano’s Song who won his only try over this distance and ten-year-old Nordic Rebel, who continues to prove that age is just a number.

Nine-year-old Whorly Whorly also demands respect having won two of his last three and continues to hold his form.
