Race 4 Number 7 SUPER BOWL

He had his first run for Jason Ong the last time. However, he didn’t get conditions to suit. Starting from barrier 10 over 1400m on turf, he raced three-wide and without cover, which left him without a finishing effort, and he was beaten 4.25 lengths into 10th position. He will be suited switching back to the Polytrack, and with the light weight, he certainly has what it takes to improve on his last-start.

Race 9 Number 2 GALAXY BAR

He showed little interest last start when settling towards the rear after jumping from an outer alley. In addition, he was unable to find cover, resulting in him travelling three-wide to finish eighth over this track and distance. Thanks to his unplaced effort last start, he can drop to Class 5 this week where he boasts an eye-catching 50 per cent strike rate, and a big run looks imminent.

Sectional Time Stars

Race 5 Number 1 Contarelli

There was plenty of merit in his sixth-place finish last time out when he was held up from the 400m to the 300m, before letting down well late to close off the race strongly. Making his Class 5 debut this week, he looks capable of securing a spot in the Top 3.

Race 7 Number 8 CREATIVE DREAMS

He is a horse who can let down with a slick final sectional under the right race shape, and he enters this race first-up off a good-looking trial. Though he is yet to break through in Class 4, he boasts three promising placings in the grade, while this week’s race isn’t the strongest of fields.
