Race 1 – 4 SONIC BOOM
This three-year-old is having his first start for trainer Cody Mo this week after 10 previous starts for Jimmy Ting. Though he remains unplaced, he occasionally turned in some eye-catching runs and finished close up in Class 4 events.
Now finding himself on a career-low rating of 35 and in his third attempt in Class 5, he races first-up off a 70-day break and enters the race off a good-looking trial, hinting that he has shown improvement with the stable transfer.
Race 8 – 4 PRIME MORTAR
Another departure from Jimmy Ting’s stable, this 5YO is back down to a winnable rating of 50 after climbing up to 60 last season, courtesy of back-to-back wins. Since then, he has failed to place in eight runs, but he has encountered some excuses.
Now under the care of Tony Cruz, he returns first-up after a 77-day spell. He turned in an impressive trial win recently, making all in the running to win his heat by a decisive margin.

Race 5 – 5 WINNING HEART
Three starts ago, he convincingly won by positioning himself on-pace after stepping away from barrier 1. However, he showed no early pace in his next race, but managed to finish fourth. In his last start, he jumped away awkwardly but rallied strongly from last position to finish seventh, beaten 3.25 lengths.
Race 6 – 10 GORGEOUS VITALITY
While he has been somewhat disappointing in recent starts, he does seem to have conditions that suit him this week. In a race where there appears to be plenty of speed, it will favour his racing pattern, giving him the opportunity to finish strongly over the top if he can recapture his best form.
