Race 3 – 2 FIGHTING MACHINE

He showed no interest from a wide draw at this track and distance last start, which was his first-up run off a five-month break after pulling up with an irregular heart rhythm. Settling last, he faced an extremely difficult task to prove competitive but there was still merit in how he closed off his race. If he can position himself closer to the speed, which he is capable of, he can show improvement second-up.

Race 4 – 9 SKY PROPHET

From a wide barrier last start, he was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. After the 900m, he was steadied away from another runner before he was held up for clear running and near the 300m was steadied as it improved into a tight run between runners which were giving ground. On his third start here, he is one who is open to any amount of improvement and he could be one to sneak into the money at odds.

Race 2 – 9 SHINKANSEN

From a wide barrier position last start, he was steadied early in a race that was run to suit those up front. However, he showcased his strength as he was the best of the rest late closing off well into third, beaten by 1.5 lengths.

Race 5 – 11 THE KHAN

He found himself in a slow-run race at this week’s track and distance last start, where he was unfavourably positioned midfield in the on-pace dominated race. He closed off the quickest inside the final 400m, suggesting hidden merit to the run, and he could be one to further improve here.
