Race 2 Number 6 Lover Boy
This three-year-old stands a good chance of shedding his maiden tag under this week’s racing conditions. Two starts ago, he finished a promising third in a race of this nature, but he had excuses the last time he raced, as he was caught wide throughout and was never a threat.
Standing out as the third-highest rated horse in the race, yet carrying less weight than others, puts him in good stead to be competitive.
Race 3 Number 9 FOREST GOLD
He simply had no luck last start when being held up for the final 200m, resulting in him being unable to be fully tested in the concluding stages. Considering he was beaten by only three lengths on that occasion, it is fair to say that he would probably have finished in the Top 3 had he endured a clear run.
Meeting a similar field this week, he looks capable of returning to the winner’s list with better luck in running.

Race 5 Number 5 Silver Star
His last-start seventh-place finish was a horror watch. Breaking slowly from the widest draw, he eased back early. Despite working strongly into the race, he was held up for most of the straight, never getting a clear passage, yet still recording the fastest time in the final 400m for the race. With a more aggressive approach in the early stages from the jockey, he could be a contender in the finish.
Race 9 Number 4 EJAZ
He showed signs of regaining form third-up 35 days ago, running on well to finish second over 1200m on turf. Despite making his Polytrack debut this week, he has always trialled well on this surface and looks to be one to follow.
