A difficult card faces punters at Turffontein on Thursday when they race on the Inside track, but it could pay to be Nazare Race 8, a MR 66 Handicap over 1200m.

Trainer Candice Dawson has her runners in good form and this four-year-old gelding is in good shape.

He was victorious over this course and distance last month and picked up a three-point penalty. Nazare then went on to run a fair third on the Hollywood bets Greyville Polytrack.

Jockey Raymond Danielson gets a ride aboard him.

Another trainer in good form is Robbie Sage and he could be worth following in the opening event, a Maiden Plate over 1000m, with Pibe De Oro.

The two-year-old is coming off his best run in which he finished runner-up behind Wolf Mountain. Gelding and the fitting of blinkers has got improvement out of the son of One World and he can go one better this time around.

Pibe De Oro will have S’manga Khumalo in the irons races on this course are all arced around the turn and he is not well drawn, having to jump from barrier No 10.

Juveniles are starting to hit their straps in open company and Guerilla Warfare takes his place in Race 5, a MR 66 Handicap over 1600m.

The New Predator colt returned from a break and was stepped up in distance with blinkers for the first time to win his maiden over 1600m on the Standside track last time out.

He takes on a field of runners who are battling to win races and he should run well with Muzi Yeni back in the irons.
