Antipodean to assert his dominance

Highly talented youngster ANTIPODEAN appears likely to continue his dominance of the local three-year-old ranks when he lines up in the 1400m New Zealand Bloodstock 3YO Trophy at Kuala Lumpur on Saturday.

ANTIPODEAN defeated a similar lineup in the 3YO Pacific Cup, the first leg of the series, over 1200m here on June 23 when he displayed his signature turn of acceleration. RHYTHM OF ZEN, LAXON and MILITARY FLAG finished second, third and fourth respectively in the feature and will be attempting to thwart the unbeaten run of the Simon Dunderdale-trained gelding.

ANTIPODEAN has scored previously over the 1400m journey and looks on target to make it seven successive victories this weekend.

Promising galloper GOLDEN PEGASUS looks on target for back-to-back wins in the 1020m Class 3 contest this Saturday.

GOLDEN PEGASUS conquered his age group with an impressive four-length win in the SLTC Four-Year-Old Sprint a fortnight ago when making his debut for the Wayne Lim stable. The gelding formerly known as Magic Turbo travelled well throughout before outsprinting his rivals to record his third win over 1200m.

GOLDEN PEGASUS has performed well against Class 3 company previously with three minor placings from five attempts and will prove hard to beat.
