Can’t Say No to Wind Sock

Punters face another tough card at Fairview on Friday and it is not made any easier as we will have to wait on Tuesday’s results before we can have a good look at the early races, so it is the handicaps on which we might need to take a stance.

There could be value in a filly who has already done us proud earlier this season, Can’t Say No.

The Alan Greeff-trained filly had a tough draw to deal with last time out and never got a blow-in behind impressive stable companion Call To Glory.

The two-year-old filly was also reported to be coughing that day so clearly the run is best expected.

Can’t Say No impressed when winning back-to-back races in April and May, and now drawn at pole position she is worth an each-way bet in Race 6, a MR 66 Handicap for fillies and mares over 1600m.

Earlier, in Race 4, Zietsman Oosthuizen-trained Wind Sock could get involved with the finish in this Classified Stakes over 1300m.

The Futura gelding is not an easy ride and has not won for some time now but is well suited to this course and distance.

Jockey S’manga Khumalo gets the ride on Wind Sock who jumps from a perfect No 2 draw.

Trainer Kelly Mitchley is having a very good season and she has got the best out Lady Zultanite.

This four-year-old filly, who lines up in Race 5, a MR 66 Handicap for fillies and mares over 2000m, has won twice since joining her yard, her victory last time out coming over this course and distance.

It is worth noting that jockey Sandile Khathi is unbeaten in two starts aboard this filly.
