1. ALOYSIUS – Won last time over 1400m at Toulouse on June 19th after a promising second on
his debut. Looks progressive and has a live chance
2. HOUQUETOT – Won on his debut by an impressive 3L at this track on June 22nd over 1400m.
He beat a subsequent winner into second when scoring and looks like a useful performer
3. PARAMECIUM – Fair 2nd last time on his second run over 1400m at saint Cloud on June 17th.
In the mix
4. MAHASEN – Nice 3rd on the sole start over 1400m at Chantilly on June 26th. Should improve
and be on the premises
5. GREEN GATE – 5th on his only run so far at this track on June 22nd in a newcomers race over
1400m. Has work to do

Summary: HOUQUETOT (2) was impressive when scoring on debut at this track last month,
and this well-bred juvenile who was a 280,000 euros purchase as a yearling, looks to be a smart
prospect. He probably has the most to fear from ALOYSIUS (1) who won nicely at Toulouse
recently and looks the type to keep getting better with race experience. MAHASEN (4) showed
talent on his sole run when third and he can not be discounted.

SELECTIONS
HOUQUETOT (2) – ALOYSIUS (1) – MAHASEN (4) – PARAMECIUM (3)

22nd. One to consider
2. FAR BEYOND – Unplaced on both runs so far, the latest over 1000m in a maiden on May 30th.

22nd. Looks up against it
5. POFIGISTE – Three unplaced runs so far, the latter over 1200m in a claimer on June 29th at
Chantilly. Makes limited appeal
6. MIA WAVE – 3rd last time in a claimer at Argentan over 1300m in a claimer on June 5th.
Needs to be considered

July 3rd. Has been beaten in two claimers and looks to be one to avoid

Summary: BY SENSATION (3) has credible form in much better races than this. She was third in
a Class 2 race last time and drops down in grade and should be too smart for her rivals. EYWA
(1) will keep her honest and is capable of making her rivals work hard for success. LAHOMI (8) is
the one to go with from an each-way perspective after a good second last time. MIA WAVE (6)
makes up the shortlist.

SELECTIONS
BY SENSATION (3) – EYWA (1) – LAHOMI (8) – MIA WAVE (6)

progressive and warrants respect
5. VEGAS – Won a Class 2 race last time over 2000m on May 26th at Parislongchamp. Warrants
respect

Summary: MAP OF STARS (1) won like a smart horse on his sole start last October. He had
some useful horses behind him that day and he should be fit and ready to go. DOLLAR INDEX
(2) is a threat having been outclassed in the Prix de Jockey-Club (Gr.1) last time, he will be more
at home in calmer waters this time. BABAKOOL (4) has won his maiden and ran well when
second last time in a Class 2 race. He can make things interesting.

7. PALUS ARGENTEUS – 3rd two runs ago over 2400m at Compiegne in a Class 3 race(claimer)
on June 7th. Can not be overlooked

Summary: The filly HELIOPOLIS (5) might just edge this, she was a good winner two starts ago
in a Class 2 handicap and is marginally preferred to the consistent performer MYKISS (2) who will
handle most types of ground but thrives on very soft conditions. He is seeking a hat-trick of wins
and can not be overlooked. PALUS ARGENTEUS (7) and HAVOC (1) are both capable and
should be involved at the business end.
