Pegasus remains in Golden form

Golden Pegasus

Progressive five-year-old, GOLDEN PEGASUS should continue his rise through the grades in the 1600m Supreme B contest at Kuala Lumpur on Saturday.

Reeling off two recent victories in both heats of the SLTC 4YO Series, GOLDEN PEGASUS has struck career-best form with five wins and six minor placings from fifteen Malaysian starts.

GOLDEN PEGASUS displayed his familiar turn of acceleration last start when sprinting from second last at the 400m to take out the 4YO Safar Gemilang Cup on July 21.

It was the gelding’s first run over the mile and his decisive three length victory suggests that he can continue his winning ways this weekend.

Five-year-old galloper GULF EAGLE looks well placed for a return victory in the 1250 Class 4B contest at Kuala Lumpur on Sunday.

GULF EAGLE has shown ability in three starts to date which includes a 1020m maiden win here on June 2. The Richard Lines-trained performer caught the eye with a fast-finishing 3rd behind the promising Golden Pegasus in the Listed SLTC Four-Year-Old Sprint over1200m on June 30.

GULF EAGLE will be freshened but appears to be holding his form with a recent trial win and will prove hard to beat at his Class 4 debut.
