Race 2 No 10 Big Return
A few things went wrong on his debut 21 days ago, including a last-minute jockey change from Pinheiro to Saifudin. To make matters worse, he was slow to begin and encountered trouble near the 600m, which significantly hindered his chances of winning.
Considering these issues, his fifth-place finish was actually quite commendable. With a bit more luck in running, he looks poised to secure a Top 3 finish in his second start.
Race 10 No 4 Filial Dragon
You can simply disregard his last-start unplaced effort as he pulled up lame on that occasion. Instead, focus on his solid performance two starts ago when he stuck on bravely to finish second over this track and distance despite travelling wide throughout.
He has since trialled well, and it’s worth noting that he boasts a perfect Top 3 strike rate as a favourite from six starts.

Race 1 No 4 Silver Dragon
He received heavy late support in Class 4 two starts ago but faded in the straight after showing tactical speed. However, after dropping back to Class 5 last time out, he somewhat lost his early speed, and the rider was subsequently suspended for six months. Resuming from a three-month break, his solid recent trial suggests a strong first-up performance is imminent.
Race 9 No 7 Super Baby
Backing up within seven days after an eye-catching fifth over 1200m, where he settled off the pace due to the shorter distance, he closed off strongly to finish just 1.75 lengths behind the winner. Stepping up to 1600m this week is a significant advantage, making him one of the better choices in the race.
