Exdream suited on home turf

Exdream

Nine-year-old galloper EXDREAM can atone for his two recent defeats and bounce back to winning form in the 1200m Class 4A contest at Ipoh on Sunday.

EXDREAM has been racing well and did not disgrace against the high graders in an Enrich Stakes A event here on July 14 when placed third, beaten a length behind progressive performer Teochew Kid. The wide barrier played against the gelding’s chances in a Class 4 contest at KL last start when working forward early to finish third over 1020m.

EXDREAM has won eight times in the grade including four wins from nine attempts at the track and distance. Jockey L De Souza is yet to miss a place in three rides aboard the gelding, including his most recent victory three starts back on June 29.

Ten-year-old campaigner HARVEYWALLBANGER should maintain his current good form and is a chance to pick up another Class 5 contest at Ipoh this Sunday.

Coming off a decisive 2.75-length win here at the last meeting on July 14, HARVEYWALLBANGER appeared to receive every opportunity when finishing runner-up behind the in-form Autumn Blitz on his home track in KL a fortnight ago.

In fact, HARVEYWALLBANGER has a 50% place strike rate on the Ipoh circuit which includes four victories. The gelding has been blessed with good draws recently but does possess the early pace to overcome barrier ten this Sunday.
