Race 1 No 3 FAMILY JEWEL

He had no luck on his first-up run last week, getting held up from the 300m to the 100m mark. By the time he found clear running in the concluding stages, the race was done, and he eventually finished eighth.

Two starts ago, he flashed home late to finish fourth, missing by just 1.75 lengths, suggesting he has the ability to win in Class 4 if the race unfolds in his favour.

Race 5 No 2 AEROINVINCIBLE

He raced on the speed but faded badly in the straight to finish tenth, beaten by 10 lengths in Class 3 last start. Given the fast tempo and the rider’s comments that he disliked the soft going that day, his performance was better than it appears on paper.

Dropping to Class 4, where he boasts a strong record, is a positive move, and his recent trials suggest that a forward showing is imminent first-up.

Race 7 No 6 LUCKY IMPACT

Backed into favouritism on debut in July, a tardy start hampered his winning chances from the outset. Despite this, he finished strongly with the fastest final 400m to claim fourth, beaten by just one length. Having trialled well since, he should secure a Top 3 finish with a clean jump.

Race 8 No 6 SUPER WIN DRAGON

He likely struggled with the 1600m trip last start, so dropping back to 1200m appears suitable. He closed strongly to finish fourth over this distance two starts ago. Additionally, having slid down the ratings, he is well-weighted in this week’s field.
