Race Summary: A difficult start to the card with a very weak race. CAPE FLOWER did not show her best when well beaten last time out. She is clearly capable of much better and could bounce back to beat these rivals. IGNITETHELIGHT did not show much in two starts in Gauteng but could show vast improvement trying the Polytrack. TARTAN QUEEN has been unreliable so far but did run well with a tongue tie last time and could have more to offer. TUNE AGAIN is better over 1000m but may be able to pick a break on this lot. ROYAL VENUS is capable of contesting the finish again.

Race Summary: A small field but a competitive race. BROOKSIDER was not beaten far in some Western Cape races and could be the right one in this line-up after a change of trainer. AND ACTION is consistent but battling to win a race. NIKES RAY OF LIGHT has been unlucky a couple of times and should fight out the finish. COLONEL GREEN is battling to win a race but could play a minor role. HAT HOT HAT usually gives of his best and is another who is quite capable of getting involved with the finish. HEART OF THIEVES ran on late last time out and could earn some money.

Race Summary: GIMME’S LASSIE continues to frustrate her followers as she looked to have done enough to win last time out before being caught very late. She was weighted to win that race and is again weighted to win comfortably. MONTELENA has improved after a change of trainer and could be better than rated. Trainer Alan Greeff has four runners in this race and all deserve a mention. Jockey Richard Fourie is aboard consistent but batting to win SUMMER ODYSSEY so that decision has to be respected. Stable companions BACK FOR MORE, ELLORIX and CATCH YOUR BREATH are all capable of contesting the finish.

Race Summary: Another weak maiden race and it could go to any of at least five runners. ICE CAP is knocking hard on the door but does tend to only run on very late. ELUSIVE MATA on the other hand tends to tire late but is not out of it. BEIJING BOULEVARD has improved of late and could get the run of the race. ACCUMULATE was not disgraced over further last time and has a winning chance this track and trip. GALAXY MOMENT has improved of late and should contest the finish once again.

Race Summary: WALT WHITMAN came from a long way back to win well last time out and only picked up a 4-point penalty and that may not be enough to anchor him. There are, however, some tough knockers in the race and he won’t find it easy to give some of these start like that. THE INKOSANA flopped on the turf last time out but has done well on this surface of late and could bounce back to be a threat. Stable companion HEAD GARDENER could play a minor role. SLAINTE MHATH has not been easy to find but does appear to like this surface and does have some ability when in the mood. MALDANO and SAN QUINTIN are in good shape and are not out of it.

Race Summary: MASKED VIGILANTE has only run twice on the Polytrack and impressed on both occasions. He broke a long and expensive losing run in May to win over 1400m and was extremely unlucky not to win over 1200m in July. He was slowly away and had numerous traffic problems to be beaten 0.40 lengths. Surprisingly, he has been kept to the turf since then and ran a cracker from the front when caught very late last time. If those tactics are used again he will not be easy to catch. EYJAFJALLAJOKULL is in very good heart and will not go down without a fight. STRANGE MAGIC has been unreliable in her new yard but could play a minor role.

Race Summary: Two tough and open-looking handicaps to end the Pick 6 and we might need to go very wide in both of them. PASHTUNWALI is consistent and is distance suited so gets a narrow pick to score. COASTAL PATH has been costly to follow but did run well last time out and would not be a surprise winner. CHARLIE MALONE has been a bit hit or miss of late but needs to be included in all bets. MR BODACIOUS had a troubled run last time out and is capable of better. BENNELONG POINT is hard to trust but is also quite capable of being victorious.

Race Summary: VISION OF WILL has been consistent in KwaZulu-Natal and has a winning chance. ELLA’S DELIGHT is very speedy and is course and distance suited. KABON KAPI is on a very long losing run but is in good form and can contest the finish. MISS SHAIVI has been threatening to win a race all year and has every chance of winning this one. SI GIOCA loves this surface and is clearly not out of it. PROJECT RUNWAY has been a disappointment of late but is capable of an upset.
