Race Preview

RACE 1: ESMERALDA STAKES (TURF TRACK) (FROM SAINT-CLOUD RACE 1) – 1600M – TIME: 19:05 PRIZE MONEY: EUR34000

Summary: LADY DIORA (4) made an encouraging start to her career when she was narrowly
beaten into second place at Parislongchamp late last month. She is marginally preferred to PINKY
CEN (2) who won on her second start at Compiegne in late August and looks like the type to keep
progressing. ZAKHAROVA (1) scored on her debut at Clairefonatine in early July and can make
things competitive.

SELECTIONS
LADY DIORA (4) – PINKY CEN (2) – ZAKHAROVA (1) – PHILLIBAY (3)

RACE 2: NINO STAKES (TURF TRACK) (FROM SAINT-CLOUD RACE 2) – 1600M – TIME: 19:40 PRIZE MONEY: EUR34000

Summary: LORD WOOTTON CEN (4) was in firm control of the race at the business end on his
taking debut at Parislongchamp in late August. The front pair were five lengths ahead of the others
that day and this colt looks a smart prospect. EXPOSURE (2) is a danger if allowed to dominate
like he did when he won at Saint-Cloud last time. JUST (5) showed promise on his debut and will
know more this time. ROYAL ENCLOSURE (3) is also worth a mention.

SELECTIONS
LORD WOOTTON CEN (4) – EXPOSURE (2) – JUST (5) – ROYAL ENCLOSURE (3)

RACE 3: ORTIE BLANCHE MAIDEN STAKES (TURF TRACK) (FROM SAINT-CLOUD RACE 3) – 2000M – TIME: 20:15 PRIZE MONEY: EUR30000

Summary: BORGIA’S OAK (7) will be well-tuned by his shrewd trainer and could be the answer in
this newcomer’s race. ASHNAK (1) looks the part on paper, his dam won three times on the flat
and this gelding should know what is required. ANZOR (10) is also from a trainer who has a good
record with a debutante and the booking of Christophe Soumillon catches the eye. NEW GROUND
(5) is out of a good mare who won in Pattern class. He is one to watch in the betting market.

SELECTIONS
BORGIA’S OAK (7) – ASHNAK (1) – ANZOR (10) – NEW GROUND (5)

RACE 4: AMONITA STAKES (TURF TRACK) (FROM SAINT-CLOUD RACE 4) – 1600M – TIME: 20:50 PRIZE MONEY: EUR28000

Summary: HIT IT (6) put up a good performance when she won a well-contested handicap at
Deauville in mid-August when last seen. She can edge this from CI MER (4) who ran a decent race
when she ran in a Group 3 race at Chantilly in mid-July when she was fourth. ASHIYMA (3) looked
a nice filly when she won on her debut last October. She has a fitness concern but she can not be
ruled out. SAIDI EL FAL (1) heads the remainder.

SELECTIONS
HIT IT (6) – CI MER (4) – ASHIYMA (3) – SAIDI EL FAL (1)

RACE 5: DE DAVRON CLAIMING STAKES (TURF TRACK) (FROM SAINT-CLOUD RACE 6) – 1600M – TIME: 22:00 PRIZE MONEY: EUR19000

Summary: VICE CAPTAIN (1) should be too smart for these. He is a solid operator in claiming
races and is preferred to TARNAC (4) who looked promising when she scored on her debut in
February on the PSF at Chantilly, and has the talent to be on the premises. GOLD NUGGET (5)
has a few unplaced runs recently but is lightly raced and can make the top three. REINE DES
COEURS (11) looks best of the remainder.

SELECTIONS
VICE CAPTAIN (1) – TARNAC (4) – GOLD NUGGET (5) – REINE DES COEURS (11)

RACE 6: PRODUCER MAIDEN STAKES (TURF TRACK) (FROM SAINT-CLOUD RACE 7) – 2000M – TIME: 22:35 PRIZE MONEY: EUR22000

Summary: TROPHANE (4) has plenty of experience and has found a good opportunity to break
her maiden. She ran a good race when fourth in a well-contested handicap on the PSF last time at
Deauville. WALKABOVE (3) was third on her debut at Dortmund in June and although a tad
disappointing last time she could be the main threat. ZABEEL LIGHT (11) is one to consider on her
debut. WINDBURN (9) has the ability and should make the top four.

SELECTIONS
TROPHANE (4) – WALKABOVE (3) – ZABEEL LIGHT (11) – WINDBURN (9)
