Summary: MARANOA CHARLIE (3) was a tad keen when he won easily at Chantilly in a fourrunner race last time. But he looks above average and should score from the likely main rival
HARVEY (2) who traveled strongly himself when he won by six lengths at Clairefontaine on his
second start after a promising second on debut. DOS MUKASAN (1) won narrowly on his debut at
Compiegne last month and will improve a good deal from that experience.

RACE 2: MATCHEM LISTED STAKES (TURF TRACK) (FROM SAINT-CLOUD RACE 2) – 1400M – TIME: 19:40 PRIZE MONEY: EUR55000
Summary: HAVANA CIGAR (6) was a good second in the Prix Jean Prat (Gr.1) two starts ago in
July and this is a lot calmer waters. He should be able to score from ZOUM ZOUM (4) who is a
course and distance winner last November. He has been competing in Group and Listed races in
the UK recently and he makes the trip over and warrants respect. ELBAZ (1) was a credible fourth
in a Group 3 race last time and won a Class 1 race before that in May. He can have a say at the
business end.

Summary: DOHA (1) makes the journey over from the UK and she was a good second at Sandown
in a Group 3 race in late August when last seen. She gets the vote ahead of UNDERSTATED (3)
who won in Germany in May and has faired well on her two recent runs in Group races. BUBBLE
SIGN (10) ran well when second in a Listed race in Germany when last seen and can be on the
premises. NAOMI LAPAGLIA (6) makes up the shortlist.

Summary: CHIC COLOMBINE (7) has not been seen since a below-par effort on the all-weather
surface at Newcastle in late June but was a good second before that at Epsom on June 1st in a
Group 3 race. She can score from the Irish raider EMPRESS OF BEAUTY (1) who won three starts
ago in a Listed race at Gowran Park in Ireland. CLOVE HITCH (8) has not been disgraced in Pattern
races recently in the UK and is one to consider. IKEN (2) makes up the shortlist.
