Race 1 No 3 CHATEAU LE PECHE

You can disregard his unplaced first-up effort, as the 1400m distance was well below his ideal range. Looking at his previous form, it’s worth noting that he delivered several solid performances in Class 4 races ranging from 1800m to 2200m.

With the step up in distance, he is expected to show improvement in his second attempt in Class 5.

Race 8 No 1 RUN RUN TIMING

He finished a luckless fifth in his first-up run two weeks ago, unable to find cover after jumping from a wide draw. Consequently, he endured a challenging trip throughout but still battled well in the straight, finishing just 2.25 lengths behind the winner over 1200m.

The rise to 1400m, where he finished a solid third two starts ago, shouldn’t be an issue, so it’s worth giving him another chance.

Race 2 No 5 SUPER CHARIZZARD

His recent runs in Class 4 were better than they appear on paper, with strong sectional times in slowly run races. Now dropping to Class 5 for the first time, he’s worth considering, especially if the odds offer value.

Race 6 No 5 SOLID WIN

He showed big improve first-up when attacking the line strongly to finish second in a slowly run race over this track and distance, recording the third fastest final 400m in 22.35 seconds. Based on that effort, he looks ready to break through second-up against moderate rivals.
