Another challenging program looms for punters at Perak Turf Club this Sunday with numerous chances emanating from each of the ten races commencing at 1.00pm.
GOD’S GIFT (6) could provide punters with an early profit in the opening race following his two starts in the country. Producing a win over this track and distance at his local debut, he was far from disgraced when finishing runner up in KL a fortnight ago and can bounce back. SUCCESS STREET (3) looks well placed on the downgrade and his statistics read well also with 6 of his 9 local victories at the track and trip. The 10yo has also won 9 times in the grade and usually doesn’t take long to strike when demoted back to Class 5 level. RULE THE WORLD (10) has also descended to a winnable rating and is well placed with the claim while SHYLOCK (14) flew home from a rearward positon to finish runner up at the last meeting here and is a chance again on the minimum from the wide barrier.
Race 1 Selections: (6) God’s Gift (3) Success Street (10) Rule The World (14) Shylock
GOLDEN LIGHTNING (7) looks a chance for a winning return in the 1300m Class 4B contest (Race 6). Stepping up to a more suitable journey the 7yo has been racing well this year with three wins, including successive victories back in May and June. HAPPY BIRTHDAY (4) also appeals on the distance rise and will be primed third up this preparation. SILENT BOSS (1) dropping back to the “B” division can improve on recent efforts while BIG MONKEY (5) is a model of consistency and will break the duck in this grade very soon. LANKARAN (8) should also not be underestimated at this level since posting three wins on the track this year.
Race 6 Selections: (7) Golden Lightning (4) Happy Birthday (1) Silent Boss (5) Big Monkey
The second of the Class 4 events is wide open (Race 7) with those near the top of the weights having an edge on their rivals. VILLAGE STAR (4) was well supported when scoring first up on August 25 and can quickly atone for his last start 3rd over 1200m. Also meeting with market support recently was BLEU MARINE (2) which produced an eye catching effort first up for his new stable. The 8yo came from last after a moderate beginning and closed off well to finish 5th, beaten five lengths. RAGNAR (1) finished on gamely to finish on the heels of the place getters in an 1100m Supreme B contest in KL last Sunday. The rise in distance and back to Class 4 company should suit the 8yo on the seven day backup. LOOKS GOOD (7) is enjoying a season best four wins for the year and the 11yo has trained on well with a sharp trial during the week. SUSPICIOUS MIND (5) will be fitter following a couple of runs this campaign and a forward showing would not surprise.
Race 7 Selections: (4) Village Star (2) Bleu Marine (1) Ragnar (7) Looks Good
