Race 2 No 6 MANYTHANKS FOREVER
Although still a maiden after 10 starts, he has shown improvement this season since dropping to Class 5 three starts ago. He found the line well to finish fifth over 1200m in his penultimate outing, then managed a better-than-it-looks sixth from a wide draw last time out.
Based on his pedigree, the step up to the extended mile should suit him, and he could surprise at odds.
Race 7 No 10 SOLEIL FIGHTER
He met heavily late support last time out, but was disadvantaged by the blistering tempo as he settled on the speed. With the top three spots taken by horses coming from well behind, he performed best among the frontrunners to finish sixth over this track and distance.
With a more measured ride this week, he looks a strong lightweight chance.

Race 5 No 5 SIXTH GENERATION
He caught the eye with a fast-finishing sixth in a slowly run 1400m race at Sha Tin 29 days ago, posting the third quickest final 400m in 22.84 seconds. Stepping up to 1650m, where three of his four career wins have occurred, is a big plus, making him worth considering if his odds present value.
Race 6 No 6 GLORY CLOUD
In his latest outing, he was eased back early from a wide draw to settle off the pace and didn’t visibly make much ground in the straight, finishing eighth over this track and distance. However, he recorded the third-fastest final 400m sectional in that slowly run race. With a more genuine pace this week, he could make amends.
