Seoul Race 1: Class 6 (1200M) Special Weight A / KRW 45 Million
Juvenile maidens in the opener with seven of the twelve racing for the first time and it is a debut-maker who will be favourite. (4) FREE TIME qualified at the second attempt and he did it in style, running handy in his trial before crossing the line in front in a quick time. If he brings that form to the races then, from a good draw, he will be hard to hold out. (10) SAINT WINNER also took a couple of goes to qualify and was much improved in the second of them, when 3rd in a fair time. This is a nice race to debut in and the 1200M first up can suit. Among the experienced ones, neither (5) EAST GANGJEOK nor (1) BURUI SEGYE set the world alight on their respective debuts, but both showed enough to suggest they can improve second up. (6) CHEONJI LADY didn’t do much on debut but previously hinted at ability in a trial and in this company can do better.

Busan Race 1: Class 6 (1300M) Special Weight A / KRW 45 Million
Fillies only in this juvenile maiden with two of the eight racing for the first time. We’ll take a chance on (8) ASSEMBLE, who was slow away on debut before running on pleasingly enough for 6th of eleven over 1200M. She’ll have to be taken on trust that she doesn’t get as far back this time, but the extra half furlong can see her home. (1) FAST MELODY could inpy manage 8th on debut over 1000M on August 2nd, but the time was good and from the inside gate she can be on pace and has every chance. (3) STAR FORCE was the best of the two debut-makers in trials and from a nice draw can race handy and make an impression. (6) ILLUSION has raced twice, both over 1000M and posting the same time in both when finishing midfield. She has finished off well and can appreciate the step up in trip. (7) B.K. MAGIC the best of the rest.
Selections | (8) Assemble (1) Fast Melody (3) Star Force (6) Illusion |

Seoul Race 2: Class 4 (1200M) Special Weight A / KRW 75 Million
Juvenile maidens with all but three racing for the first time and with the experience offering little appeal, we must head to the trial videos. (7) GOOD CHOEGANG went through three heats, qualifying in the first but then doing two more in which he got progressively better, most recently 2nd place in 62.2 seconds when on pace on October 4th. If he gets on pace here, he may go all the way. (1) PALATINO similarly went through two heats, winning the first in a slow time but was then much quicker in a second on October 4th when overcoming the widest gate and running on well for 3rd. Drawn well, he can put in a bold showing. (11) STORM CROWN won his trial, settling handy and running on well in a quick time. He faces the challenge of a wide gate here can go well. (8) GWANAKSAN BLACK and (3) ART CATCHER trialed up together and both showed potential.
Selections | (7) Good Choegang (1) Palatino (11) Storm Crown (8) Gwanaksan Black |

Busan Race 2: Class 6 (1200M) Special Weight A / KRW 30 Million
(10) TAMNA SUPER enters off his best finish to date when 2nd at this distance on October 11th, beating a couple of these in the process. He has the challenge of a wide draw here, but with a little luck at the start, he can find a forward position and he can go one better. (6) SHACKLE LAUD has made good progress across three starts so far, culminating in 3rd place behind Tamna Super in that October 11th race, coming from well off the pace. He shapes as the main danger to overturn that for. (5) BABEL COME ON was 5th on debut over 1000M on October 11th, running on after a slow start. She should have come on for the run, and the additional furlong can suit. (9) MORNING DEW and (4) SPEED BOY, the latter trailing well five months on from an inauspicious debut, are others to consider.
Selections | (10) Tamna Super (6) Shackle Laud (5) Babel Come On (9) Morning Dew |

Seoul Race 3: Class 6 (1300M) Special Weight A / KRW 30 Million
(9) DRAGON K has two 4th places from three starts so far, including his latest over 1200M on October 19th when close to the pace throughout. His times haven’t been world beating but he should have enough about him to get on or close to the speed here and the slight step up in trip can suit. (4) HANURI has made progress across three outings so far, culminating in a 3rd place on October 27th at 1400M, when ridden at the front for the first time. Expect similar tactics today and he has every chance of going even closer. (3) B.K. BELLE came from well off the pace to run 4th at this distance on October 5th. She doesn’t benefit from an apprentice claim this time, but that’s balanced by Kim Yong-geun being up, and she should be close. (2) MERIT SUNSHINE and (1) BULGUKSIDAE others in at least the placing frame.

Busan Race 3: Class 5 (1200M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million
It’s been ten runs since (2) QUEEN AND SERVE got her solitary win, but she has been working back into form and she has a 3rd and a 2dn from her latest two, both at this class over 1400M and this distance, racing on pace both times. She draws well to lead again, Franco climbs on, and she can return to the winner’s circle. (7) TAURUS KING has been wayward in his latest couple, getting sent back to trial both times. He came through his latest hear last weekend and looked very well posting a fast time behind a top mare and with Tanaka, who has placed on him, returning, can be given another chance. (10) SINHAE MANGCHI mixes his form, but his latest two in 2nd and 5th, both at this class and distance, have been good and he can be close. (4) OAK RIDGE and (11) PURPLE MANGO other minor money hopes.
Selections | (2) Queen And Serve (7) Taurus King (10) Sinhae Mangchi (4) Oak Ridge |

Seoul Race 4: Class 5 (1700M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million
(7) ÉCLAIR POWER had been edging closer to his first win and it duly arrived on October 12th when he made all to win over 1300M. He comes up both in class and distance today, but neither should be a problem, and he can win again. (1) RAON HIT MAN has a 3rd and a 2nd in two tries at this distance, most recently on October 19th when running on from midfield. Though winless, those bring him up in class and accordingly he is significantly down in the weights and may well have found his niche at two turns. (4) MK LEE also went well when stepped up to this trip on October 12th, running 3rd from off the pace. He can settle back again and can be a threat in the closing stages. (8) HEUIMANGUI CHANGA and (3) SEONGSIN CHEONHA are others to consider.

Busan Race 4: Class 5 (1400M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million
Small but competitive field with the three probable market leaders all up in class. Two of them are maidens and that includes our top pick, (5) MR.WOLF, but after just four starts, he seems to have the most upside. He was beaten a long way into 2nd place by a good winner on October 25th, but he pisted a couple of quick times over 1200M and the step up in trip may suit. (7) HANEUL SINHWA does have a win, scoring on October 4th at the eleventh attempt, making all to win comfortably at this distance. He doesn’t get much of a weight drop but should be able to comfortably measure up against most of these. (2) WORLD ANGEL CAT hasn’t won in eleven attempts but comes in after back-to-back runner-up finishes, one of them at this distance. She is down 3kg in the weights, and she draws well. (8) BEOLGYO SARANG and (3) PRIME JOY other place chances.
Selections | (5) Mr.Wolf (7) Haneul Sinhwa (2) World Angel Cat (8) Beolgyo Sarang |

Seoul Race 5: Class 4 (1400M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million
(7) RAON TIMOTH has quite lived up to the promise he showed in winning his first two races – he hasn’t won in eight subsequent tries – but he looks very nicely in to put that right today. He comes in off a close 4th place in a quick time over 1200M on October 13th and under a light weight, is ready to have another crack at 1400M. (10) FLYING CARAVANE has won two of his latest three including at this class and distance last time out back on July 14th. He comes up 4kg for that and races for the first time in seventeen weeks, but he is not to be dismissed. (3) CHEONMAPYEONGJEONG was 2nd on her only previous try over this distance and enters with recent form reading well. She caries a light weight, draws well, and can be competitive. (5) ARGO GONGJU should strip fitter for his run last month and along with (2) SMART TAEYANG is another place chance.
Selections | (7) Raon Timoth (10) Flying Caravane (3) Cheonmapyeongjeong (5) Argo Gongju |

Busan Race 5: Class 4 (1600M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million
Fillies and mares only here. (7) LASER GRIT is rapidly up in class having won two of her latest three, most recently on her first try over the mile on October 11th when settling midfield and running on. She comes down 2.5kg in the weights, and she can continue her run of form here (1) THUNDER FURY doesn’t look in good form on paper, but she has been racing in tougher company than this and the margins she has been beaten by haven’t been huge. She is a winner at this distance already and from the inside gate should be on pace and in this a long way. (9) BURNING PASSION races for the first time since July. She didn’t offer too many clues in a trial two weeks ago, but she was going very well before that layoff and rates as a place chance here. (8) WONDERFUL CUTIE and (2) MASARANGGIL others who may offer some interest at an each-way or better price.
Selections | (7) Laser Grit (1) Thunder Fury (9) Burning Passion (8) Wonderful Cutie |

Seoul Race 6: Class 4 (1600M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million
(7) PRINCE DAY was a winner over 1400M two starts back before running 2nd on his first try at this class over the same distance on October 5th, well beaten by a good winner. He steps up to the mile for the first time but stays under a light weight and he can go one better. (4) THE FAVORITE has been working her way back into form across his last few outings, culminating in a runner-up finish over this distance in a filly/mare race at this class on October 5th. She likes to settle midfield and run on, and she can maintain her consistent form here. (8) YONGBI POWER comes up in class having won over 1700M on October 12th. That was somewhat unexpected, and she doesn’t get a weight break, but she should measure up with most of these. (5) NANO MASIN and (3) BEOLGYO TAEYANG the other place chances.

Busan Race 6: Class Open (1400M) Weight for Age / Kookje Shinmun Cup (KOR G3) / KRW 500 Million
Wide open renewal and the final chance this year for the one-turn heavyweights to compete for a big prize. We’ll take a chance on (8) VINCERO CAVALLO. A very creditable 6th in the Korea Sprint, he followed it up with a super win over 1400M at class 1 level on October 12th. If he brings that form here, he has every chance. (1) SOMETHING LOST was 5th in the Korea Sprint continuing a run of nearly, but not quites, in big races. Just like Vincero Cavallo, however, he is unbeaten at this distance, Moon Se-young climbs up for the first time, and he will probably start as the betting favourite. With most of the expected speed drawn wide, he may well go straight to the lead. The defending champion (14) EOMA EOMA shouldn’t be overlooked. He had a bad day at the office in the Korean Sprint but was very close in Graded company at 1200M and a Mile over the spring and summer. He is a winner eight out of ten at this distance and given his running style these days, the wide draw shouldn’t be a problem. (13) FANTASTIC KINGDOM and (2) GANGSEO GIANT among plenty of others who could be in the mix.

Seoul Race 7: Class 3 (1200M) Handicap / KRW 75 Million
(2) VELOX BOY was a winner over 1400M at class 4 level on September 1st, when leading from gate to wire. He comes up in class here but is down in the weights, draws well, and he could go all the way again. The danger is (4) ECLAIRFURY. She returned from four months off in August to run a good 2nd at this class and distance, and while she has had a further eleven weeks off since then, she is to be respected. (3) HAENGBOKAN MUNMAK will also be in most trifectas. She could only manage 5th of eleven at this class last time out on October 12th, but previously she ran 4th in a tough Trophy race at this trip on international weekend. Four of her five wins have come over 1200M and she should be in the mix here. (10) HANGANG BOSS and (9) DOKKAEBE others in the hunt.
Selections | (2) Velox Boy (4) Eclairfury (3) Haengbokan Munmak (10) Hangang Boss |

Busan Race 7: Class 4 (1600M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million
Fillies (and one mare) only here and (8) QUEEN OF DRAGON will be one of the shortest price favourites of the day. She has raced five times, winning once, and running 2nd in the other four, including all her latest three, most recently on September 29th at this class and distance. Under today’s handicap, she still gets in under a very light weight, and she is hard to oppose. The only realistic dangers are on either side of her. (7) SKY SHOT doesn’t win out of turn but has been getting closer in recent starts with a 2nd at class and distance on October 20th, her latest. A similar effort will see her very close again. (9) HERE THE QUEEN was a winner over 1400M two starts back before running 5th over that same trip on her first try at this class on September 6th. She only has a 3rd place from three previous attempts at the mile, but in this company, she looks ready for another crack. (5) SEOGWI FLASH and (1) I AM LEGEND the other place chances.

Seoul Race 8: Class 3 (1800M) Handicap / KRW 75 Million
A short price favourite here in the shape of (6) GIANT STEP. He has never been outside the top four and has won four of eight in total, including his latest at this class and distance on October 6th when coming from well off the pace, which wasn’t in keeping with his previous racing pattern at shorter. That suggests that he is versatile and while he comes up a full 4.5kg in the weights, he should win again. The danger is (3) MAGLE DAY. A winner at this class over 1400M on October 12th coming from a long way back after a slow start, he tackles the 1800M for the first time and it may well suit. (2) STORM BREAKER will need a pass on his latest which was the Listed Ilgan Sports Trophy at the end of September, but if we go on his prior effort, which was a 2nd place at this class and distance on August 24th, then he has to have a chance here. (9) HOLIDAY CHARM and (5) CLUB D others to consider.

Busan Race 8: Clas 3 (1800M) Handicap / KRW 75 Million
(10) HUNTER DRAGON gets the nod. He won at this class over a mile on October 6th, settling midfield and running on strongly. He carries a full 4kg more today and he draws a touch wider than ideal, but he could well have too much. (6) GRAY BOSS comes up rapidly in class following two consecutive wins, the latter at this distance on October 13th when quickly leading and then making all. He carries a light weight here and can measure up. The wildcard is (5) GOODY. He races for the first time since running 2nd at this class and distance at the end of May, which capped off a very solid run of form. He trialed up well a couple of weeks ago and could be an attractive proposition at a probable each-way price. (12) YEONGGWANGUIPRINCE and (2) YASAENGHWA others to keep safe.

(5) LUCKY WORLD does have a bit of form to overturn over a couple of these from two starts back, but the veteran is consistent and after a great 4th place shy at the class 2 stumps, it would be no surprise were he to win back in more amenable company today. (1) FURIOSA has a 2nd and a 3rd in two starts since getting promoted this level, both over 1200M and one in a strong Trophy race on international weekend. He has placed three times at tis distance and from the inside gate and under a light weight, he should be a threat here. (2) JANGSAN POISON can have his latest overlooked, which was in the same class 1 race as Lucky World, and he can go close here, despite his big weight. (7) CHUNJI GWANGPUNG and (6) COMPLETE TIME are others to look out for.
