Race Preview
RACE 1: KANTAR MAIDEN STAKES (TURF TRACK) (FROM SAINT-CLOUD RACE 2) – 2000M – TIME: 19:31 PRIZE MONEY: EUR30000
Summary: ARABIAN FEVER (1) ran a pleasing debut at Chantilly in early October when he was
second in a competitive maiden event. He will have improved from that run and can score here
from PERCIVAL (8) who ran with promise when he was fifth at Lyon Parilly on his only run in
September over 1600m. KENCHAK (4) has shaped well on both of his runs and can make the top
three. AIDAN’S PHONE (5) looks best of the rest.
SELECTIONS
ARABIAN FEVER (1) – PERCIVAL (8) – KENCHAK (4) – AIDAN’S PHONE (5)
RACE 2: PHARSALE MAIDEN STAKES (TURF TRACK) (FROM SAINT-CLOUD RACE 3) – 2000M – TIME: 20:05 PRIZE MONEY: EUR30000
Summary: BADIANE (10) caught the eye on her debut at this track when she was second in early
October over 1500m. She should like the step up in trip this time and get off the mark from another
promising type in FORNALI (5) who also shaped well when she was second at Parislongchamp on
her sole run at the end of last month over 1800m. KIMBIA (4) was also second on her debut and
can make her rivals work hard for success. BERRA (9) is also a filly with potential.
SELECTIONS
BADIANE (10) – FORNALI (5) – KIMBIA (4) – BERRA (9)
RACE 3: DE JUZIERS CLAIMING STAKES (TURF TRACK) (FROM SAINT-CLOUD RACE 4) – 2500M – TIME: 20:40 PRIZE MONEY: EUR19000
Summary: SUNFAST (4) has been highly tried recently in Pattern Class twice when not quite up
to that level. He ran well in a Class 2 race last time when fifth and will be more at home today in
much calmer waters. He should be too smart for his rivals. OROFINA (12) has also been competing
in stronger races and will find the drop in class to her liking. WARELIA (11) won last time in a Class
4 event and warrants respect. PENTAOUR (3) is also worth a mention.
SELECTIONS
SUNFAST (4) – OROFINA (12) – WARELIA (11) – PENTAOUR (3)
RACE 4: LA GOUBINIERE HANDICAP (TURF TRACK) (FROM SAINT-CLOUD RACE 5) – 2400M – TIME: 21:15 PRIZE MONEY: EUR21000
Summary: LUCY GALESTE (1) can defy top-weight, she has been in good form recently with five
placed efforts, which include a win at Parislongchamp two starts ago in late October. NOUSDEUX
(5) can be forgiven for a tame effort last time and is best judged on her third-placed run before that
in late October at Clairefontaine. She can feature. LAZULITE (6) is one to include in all of the place
bet permutations. CHINCHA ALTA (9) heads the remainder.
SELECTIONS
LUCY GALESTE (1) – NOUSDEUX (5) – LAZULITE (6) – CHINCHA ALTA (9)
RACE 5: HARAS D’OUILLY HANDICAP (TURF TRACK) (FROM SAINT-CLOUD RACE 6) – 2400M – TIME: 21:50 PRIZE MONEY: EUR25000
Summary: MEHLANGO (9) could be the answer to this open handicap. He has been shaping well
on his last three runs when placed on all of them. He looks overdue for another success. MIYALAA
(3) could be the main danger, she was a fair fifth last time in a competitive handicap at
Clairefontaine last month when a few of today’s rivals also ran. VENUS OCEANE (4) shaped well
at this track two runs ago and looks like the each-way option. LUNA ROCK (8) is also worth
considering.
SELECTIONS
MEHLANGO (9) – MIYALAA (3) – VENUS OCEANE (4) – LUNA ROCK (8)
RACE 6: SAINT-HONORAT HANDICAP (TURF TRACK) (FROM SAINT-CLOUD RACE 7) – 1400M – TIME: 22:25 PRIZE MONEY: EUR21000
Summary: ACHKI (10) has been placed on the last three starts and has a good racing weight. He
can get another win. HURRICANE LIGHT (2) has run well when fourth on the last two runs and
looks like the main danger to the selection. KAVAKNEY (14) is worth considering from an eachway perspective, he has placed form at this track before. HYPNOTIZED (11) has been placed on
the last few runs and can be on the premises.
SELECTIONS
ACHKI (10) – HURRICANE LIGHT (2) – KAVAKNEY (14) – HYPNOTIZED (11)
RACE 7: D’ABLIS HANDICAP (TURF TRACK) (FROM SAINT-CLOUD RACE 8) – 1400M – TIME: 23:00 PRIZE MONEY: EUR23000
Summary: IRBIS (11) has been in good form recently with plenty of seconds and a win at
Compiegne in September. His latest effort at Deauville when he was fifth was also a credible run.
He can score from LES TROIS VALLEES (7) who has also been in top form with two wins and a
nice fourth at Fontainebleau 11 days ago. VERDANSK (2) can make the frame and is one to side
with each way. KILFRUSH MEMORIES (1) makes up the shortlist.
