Summary: THE TOP GATSBY (2) has performed impeccably this year and has won on all 3 visits to this course, including back-to-back races over this course and distance. She beat several re-opposing rivals here last time and is good value to maintain her 100% record at Pau. MORPHEWAN (1), who finished a good 4th in a Listed race last time out, leads the opposition ahead of SPLENDINO (6), whose comeback 4th behind the selection would’ve done him good. PERLE ROUGE (4) appeals most of the remainder.

However, MAYISKI (8) and MARKUS (7) have shown enough to challenge the selection and could chase him home. Experienced rivals PIC PEN (4), FUSEE DE PORCHE (2) and SICILIAN THREAT (10) have legitimate place hopes but no more than that.

A repeat of that performance should suffice here and she will be hard to beat if making any progress. Consistent GYP SEA (4) has the form and experience to trouble the selection, so she ought to play a role in the outcome, along with MAKE IT RIGHT (2) who has shown enough in 3 starts to be competitive in a race/field of this ilk. KIMBIA (3) completes the shortlist.

HUMAN EVOLUTION (1) also possesses sufficient means to be competitive in a race of this nature, even on his return from a break. TRADE HONOR (3), KRUNGTHEPMAHANAKON (7) and ROOFOFTHEWORLD (6) have place prospects.

ROYAL VATI (14) showed a return to form at his latest outing and he should be right there at the finish. VICTORY CAT (2) is holding form nicely and hasn’t been far off despite not winning and she should produce another solid effort. BORN TO DREAM (7) gets 1.5kgs off the back and is another that should have a say in the outcome.

Summary: NUIT D’ALIENOR (4) arrives in very steady form and has been close up at recent outings which indicates that another win isn’t too far away. POLIVATE (12) ran her best race in a while when just finding one too good and with a bit of luck in running, she could get her head in front. VIRIMOON ETOILE (10) finished behind the top two picks last time out but should be right on top of them at the finish. NOROLLES (15) is still a maiden but has the type of form that continues to keep one interested.

DONALYA (4) is yet to taste success this calendar year but hasn’t been too far off them and can challenge. QUARTIER MAITRE (5) is best forgiven for a below par last effort and should be judge on his previous form which will see him running a positive race.

Summary: DOCTOR RON (2) enhanced his form with a gutsy victory last time out and that win could have done his confidence a world of good as he looks to defy those who he had behind him last time out. DIVINE CHRISNAT (4) has been a consistent performer for connections and is threatening for that next win which seems around the corner. NORDESTE (3) finished behind the top pick last time out but should get closer if not turning the form around at the weights. PAS RADINE (8) was denied by Doctor Ron but could get revenge with a bit of luck in running.
