Selangor racing continues on Sunday, December 8th, featuring a thrilling 8-race card with highly competitive action expected throughout the day.

RED DRAGONFLY is poised to maintain his unbeaten record in the country when he lines up in the 1275m Class 5 contest at Kuala Lumpur on Sunday.

Arriving from Singapore as a 20-start maiden, RED DRAGONFLY has found his stride since joining the Selangor stables of Ooi Chin Chin earlier this year. The four-year-old impressed on his local debut, scoring a 1.75-length victory over 1150m on Track Two.

However, his second win was arguably even more impressive. After a slow start, he recovered to forge ahead and win by 3.25 lengths, despite carrying 4.5 kg more.

Jockey CK Khaw has developed a strong rapport with RED DRAGONFLY, and the pair will be aiming for a winning hat-trick from the outside barrier.

Six-year-old mare PACIFIC ANGEL presents a compelling value choice in Race 6, especially after her luckless run last start.

Despite drawing a wide barrier and racing three-wide on the speed throughout, she fought on bravely in the straight to finish fifth, beaten by only 3.25 lengths over 1300m. It was a commendable effort considering the circumstances.

The return to 1100m is a notable boost to her chances, as she has already proven herself with two wins over this trip. A smoother run should see her well-positioned to bounce back and produce a strong performance.
