Race 2 No 9 ACE TALENT

He struggled with unfavorable draws in his last few starts, which forced him to cover extra ground on those occasions. Despite these challenges, he still managed to secure a third-place finish and was never beaten by more than four lengths in any of those outings.

Now benefitting from a drop in the ratings, he appears well-placed to capitalize, provided he enjoys a smoother run in transit this time around.

Race 3 No 2 THRIVING BROTHERS

He likely found the 1400m trip a touch too testing last time out, fading in the straight to finish eleventh after racing on the speed in a quality contest. However, his prior effort over 1200m at Sha Tin was much more encouraging, where he ran on strongly in a slowly run race to claim third place.

The return to 1200m should suit him well, and he looks set to benefit from facing weaker opposition as he makes his Happy Valley debut.

Race 4 No 9 RAGNARR

He delivered an improved performance last start with blinkers applied for the first time, finishing strongly to claim third despite the slow tempo—a run that went against the race shape. In what looks to be a wide-open contest this week, he must be considered a strong chance.

Race 8 No 11 YOU’REMYEVERYTHING

He impressed with a strong late charge to finish fourth over 1400m at Sha Tin last time out, recording the third-fastest final 400m in 23.20 seconds. Dropping back to 1200m—a distance where he boasts three career wins—offers a notable advantage this week. In a field that appears to lack depth, he shapes as a value contender.
