Punters can gain an early profit as the ultra-consistent LIM’S SINAI (2) looks on track for a return victory in Race 2. The Lawson Moy trained 5yo is yet to finish out of the top two in five local starts with his only career win recorded over 1150m in October. The Nick Selvan yard is tracking nicely at the moment and recent acquisition, SINGLE WARRIOR (5) trialed well a month ago and is one to watch first up from Singapore. PERFECT MISSION (3) chased home the inform Chosen One at Ipoh last start and looks a threat third run back in the grade. NAUGHTY KID (7) recaptured his better form last time while BARBARIAN (4) is a multiple Class 5 winner with genuine claims.
Race 2 Selections: (2) LIM’S SINAI (5) SINGLE WARRIOR (3) PERFECT MISSION (7) NAUGHTY KID
The Nick Selvan trained, CONTARELLI (10) can break through in the 1400m Class 4A contest (Race 4) following his eye-catching second over 1400m here a fortnight ago. His trial form prior was quite impressive also and looks to have a big weight advantage on his rivals. However, former Macau galloper LUEN ON FEELINGS (6) also looks ready to strike after two minor placings. A three-time winner in Macau, the 4yo arrived in Malaysia with handy credentials and will be a major player this weekend. Starting from the outside draw with the top weight of 59kg, it may appear a tough assignment for LIM’S CRAFT (1) but he is on the downgrade with multiple wins at this level. Another downgrader, OLYMPIA (2) should be primed third up this campaign while RS PARKER (7) doesn’t win too often but may be an option for the exotics.
Race 4 Selections: (10) CONTARELLI (6) LUEN ON FEELINGS (1) LIM’S CRAFT (2) OLYMPIA
Impressive last start winners, REVUE (2) and ST TROPEZ (3) are set to clash in the 1400m Supreme B event (Race 5). REVUE (2) toyed with his rivals in a Class 3 contest when scoring by eight lengths here on November 24 and despite the rise of 5kg after the claim, the Ricky Choi trained 6yo will be hard to beat again. Like REVUE (2), former Singapore galloper ST TROPEZ (3) won on his Malaysian debut after being heavily supported in the market. The 6yo came from last at the half mile before storming home to win over 1400m here two weeks back. MISTY SWIFT closed off well to finish 4th (4L) behind ST TROPEZ as the 6yo tries to recapture its best form while WHO LOVE TO DANCE (1) will find this a slightly easier assignment. PERFECT (7) is third up and appears to have place claims.
