Race Preview

RACE 1: KANDY CLAIMING STAKES (FIBRESAND TRACK) (FROM CHANTILLY RACE 2) – 1400M – TIME: 19:50 PRIZE MONEY: EUR19000

Summary: Wide open. ROSE ACADEMY (13) ran well enough in defeat at this level last time to suggest that she can win a race of this nature, so she gets the nod ahead of KINEMATICA (14) who shouldn’t be underestimated in her first start on French soil. GENTLEMAN BEAUTY (2), after a commendable 5th behind the selection last month, supplemented MCTENETT (1), and SUPER BUDDY (4), who shouldn’t be hastily condemned for his disappointing latest performance, are best equipped of the remainder to challenge for a spot on the podium.

SELECTIONS
ROSE ACADEMY (13) – KINEMATICA (14) – GENTLEMAN BEAUTY (2) – MCTENETT (1)

RACE 2: DE L’ANCIEN POTAGER MAIDEN STAKES (FIBRESAND TRACK) (FROM CHANTILLY RACE 3) – 1600M – TIME: 20:25 PRIZE MONEY: EUR30000

Summary: ROSAPENNA (6) confirmed the promise of his debut by finishing 4th over track and trip last time, and he needn’t improve much to open his account. ZODD (4) caught the eye on debut at Deauville and, on the evidence of that display, he should improve to pose a threat to the favourite. THINTHREAD (1), THE TYCOON (8) and BABY HARTWOOD (2) are other likely improvers so they shouldn’t be taken lightly.

SELECTIONS
ROSAPENNA (6) – ZODD (4) – THINTHREAD (1) – LE TYCOON (8)

RACE 3: DE LA GALERIE PSYCHE HANDICAP (FIBRESAND TRACK) (FROM CHANTILLY RACE 4) – 1800M – TIME: 21:00 PRIZE MONEY: EUR15000

Summary: LOU BALICOT (9) has hit the woodwork in consecutive starts on this course and a repeat of either performance should be enough for her to score here. Versatile ACHKI (6) is a model of consistency at this level and should make life difficult for the selection, while HOT SUMMER (4) is another with legitimate podium ambitions. BOW LANE (5) and PAS DE VELOURS (7) complete the shortlist.

SELECTIONS
LOU BALICOT (9) – ACHKI (6) – HOT SUMMER (4) – BOW LANE (5)

RACE 4: DU JARDIN DES CASCADES MAIDEN STAKES (FIBRESAND TRACK) (FROM CHANTILLY RACE 5) – 1600M – TIME: 21:35 PRIZE MONEY: EUR30000

Summary: ALSABA (7) is improving with racing and was second best on the day. She sets the standard and is the one to beat. SEND WOOD (5) finished behind the top choice last time out so is held on form but is capable of getting involved. MISS CHASTAIN (4) ran a pleasing race on debut and has scope for improvement. PRINCESSE MANDEL (3) has posted two fair efforts to date and should be involved in the finish.

SELECTIONS
ALSABA (7) – SEND WOOD (5) – MISS CHASTAIN (4) – PRINCESSE MANDEL (3)

RACE 5: DU CABINET DE GIOTTO HANDICAP (FIBRESAND TRACK) (FROM CHANTILLY RACE 6) – 1800M – TIME: 22:10 PRIZE MONEY: EUR20000

Summary: LOVE AFFAIR (4) is better than her last two efforts and if putting her best foot forward, she could be very competitive. SAINT FIACRE (5) showed a return to form last time out and with a repeat performance, she should go close. RUBIS GOLD (8) isn’t the most reliable sort but should be in the firing line. PENNY DE CERISY (17) has been a model of consistency and should run well.

SELECTIONS
LOVE AFFAIR (4) – SAINT FIACRE (5) – RUBIS GOLD (8) – PENNY DE CERISY (17)

RACE 6: DU CABINET DES CLOUETS HANDICAP (FIBRESAND TRACK) (FROM CHANTILLY RACE 7) – 1800M – TIME: 22:45 PRIZE MONEY: EUR22000

Summary: SEIGNEUR (2) has been knocking on the door for that next victory and with weight off the back, he could be very dangerous. SIMONS KING (10) showed improvement last time out and with a repeat performance, he can challenge. SONEMOS(3) has been running to a consistent level and looks ready to win again so needs to be included in all bets. JOYCE GALESTE (14) is seldom far off the action and has to be respected.

SELECTIONS
SEIGNEUR (2) – SIMONS KING (10) – SONEMOS (3) – JOYCE GALESTE (14)

RACE 7: DU CHATEAU DU HERON BLANC STAKES (FIBRESAND TRACK) (FROM CHANTILLY RACE 8) – 1600M – TIME: 23:20 PRIZE MONEY: EUR27000

Summary: LE NOMADE (8) takes a step down in class which will suit him ideally and he could be well placed to grab the honors. DIVINE CHRISNAT (11) won a solid race last time out and can go back to back with weight off the back. CICCIO BOY (4) is better than his latest display and he should be very competitive. SOUS LA NEIGE (5) just found one to good last time out and should be in the mix once again.

SELECTIONS
LE NOMADE (8) – DIVINE CHRISNAT (11) – CICCIO BOY (4) – SOUS LA NEIGE (5)
