Course E will be in operation for Races 1-8 while Race 9 will be contested on Track Two for the Selangor Turf Club meeting this Saturday.
The 1200m Max Two Stakes (Race 5) will be one of the features and the Charles Leck trained SMART ONE (1) looks a chance of going back-to-back judging by his dominant victory in a Class 5 contest here a fortnight ago. With the minor gear change to pacifiers, the 5yo is one of three runners to win twice in their careers and is a genuine chance of scoring again.
CONTARELLI (6) cast a plate when a beaten favourite last start but his local debut plus respectable trial form prior indicates that with better luck this time, he may strike without surprising.
RED SUN (10) is still a maiden but was runner up four times in Singapore before spelling. The 5yo is a quick beginner and his sharp trial Tuesday week ago places him in good stead from pole position.
TOP SHOW (2) finally broke through for his second career win on December 8 and has claims despite the distance drop.
VARIANT (5) broke his maiden tag in a Class 4 two starts ago and will be freshened for Saturday’s outing.

The 1200m Class 3 contest (Race 6) sees the return of handy performers, POPEYETHESAILORMAN (4) and FATAL ATTRACTION (6) coming off successful preparations when last in work.
POPEYETHESAILORMAN (4) won three from five prior to unplaced effort in a Class 3 due to respiratory distress but looks ready following a trial win last month.
FATAL ATTRACTION (6) finished runner up to group performer, Golden Pegasus in successive starts prior to spelling in July. Scoring at his local debut back in June, the former Australian wasn’t overly taxed in a trial recently and should be followed this campaign.
Former Macau galloper, LUEN ON POSIEDON (1) finished a close 2nd behind POPEYETHESAILORMAN in that November 26 trial and is a winner of eleven races. The Ricky Choi stable is gaining momentum with regular winners at recent meetings and this 10yo veteran should be one for the trifectas.
Another former Macau runner, TRUE LOVE (5) is a five time winner which debuts for the SY Lim stable and trialed quietly for his local debut.
BOY XANDER (2) was heavily supported and duly saluted with an easy six length win over 1200m two weeks back but is up in grade and will have to contend with the wide draw.
