Summary: LORENZO DE MEDICI (8) acquitted himself well in defeat when 6th at Lyon-La Soie in his first start since joining Adrien Fouassier. While this distance is at the bottom-end of his range, he needn’t improve much on what he showed last time to play a leading role. Another legitimate candidate for success is COSTA EDITA (11) who’s last-start 2nd in a competitive claimer should stand her in good stead here. Supplemented HOLLYWOOD AFRICANS (2) and recent Pornichet runner-up FIRSTMAN (6) have podium prospects.

With natural progress on the cards, it could pay to side with her ahead of well-bred newcomer MOLITOR DOOR (9), and ANCOLIE (3) who performed better on debut than her finishing position (7th) suggests. Persian King filly KEETA (11) and Frankel debutante GIDLEIGH (12) are also worth a mention on their first day at school.

She is worth another chance here and is preferred to PRETTYLADY (2) who was a game-in-defeat 5th at Chantilly last month. DEFULLY (5) should have more to offer with the experience of an encouraging course-and-distance debut under her belt, so shouldn’t be underestimated. Newcomer RAOULE (9) appeals most of the remainder.

Off his current mark, STEELHAMMER (15) will appeal to lovers of outsiders, and he completes the shortlist along with MAGIC TUNIS (8).
