RACE 1: ADOLPHE ROSSIO STAKES (FIBRESAND TRACK) (FROM CAGNES-SUR-MER RACE 1) – 1600M – TIME: 18:59 PRIZE MONEY: EUR38000

Summary: WALLY (4) arrives after a nice win at Pau on his last start on November 29th. He handles all types of surfaces and is marginal preference ahead of KOVROV (6) who is rated 1kg higher and won at this track in a Class 1 race in January 2024. He has not been seen since a fourth-placed effort in a Listed race in May 2024 on turf. PERLE ROUGE (8) is a capable filly on her day and acts well on all surfaces. She can not be discounted. SOUS LA NEIGE (1) is also worth a mention.

SELECTIONS
WALLY (4) – KOVROV (6) – PERLE ROUGE (8) – SOUS LA NEIGE (1)

RACE 2: DE MAGNAN HANDICAP (TURF TRACK) (FROM CAGNES-SUR-MER RACE 2) – 2400M – TIME: 19:31 PRIZE MONEY: EUR21000

Summary: JARDIN BLEU (9) could be the answer to this open race. He was a decent second at Toulouse at the start of December and is marginally preferred to VOILA POURQUOI (6) who was a credible third on his latest start 23 days ago at Marseille Pont De Vivaux. MARTIAL ART (1) can also be competitive despite having to deal with top weight. RED SUGAR (15) was not beaten far when she was fifth at this track 5 days ago and is one to keep safe.

SELECTIONS
JARDIN BLEU (9) – VOILA POURQUOI (6) – MARTIAL ART (1) – RED SUGAR (15)

RACE 3: DE LA DURANCE STAKES (TURF TRACK) (FROM CAGNES-SUR-MER RACE 3) – 2400M – TIME: 20:03 PRIZE MONEY: EUR38000

Summary: ALWAYS WELCOME (2) was a narrow winner at this track 10 days ago in a Class 2 race over 2150m and should be able to confirm placings with old rival LAZZARO (1) who was second that day and is better off by 1kg at the weights this time. GOOD GIFT (5) was a fair fifth in the same race as the two already mentioned and has a few lengths to find on his old rivals. HAVE DANCER (4) won two starts ago on the turf, but was behind three of his rivals at this track 10 days ago.

SELECTIONS
ALWAYS WELCOME (2) – LAZZARO (1) – GOOD GIFT (5) – HAVE DANCER (4)

RACE 4: DE RIMIEZ HANDICAP (TURF TRACK) (FROM CAGNES-SUR-MER RACE 4) – 2400M – TIME: 20:40 PRIZE MONEY: EUR25000

Summary: MORSAN (6) was beaten in a photo-finish at this track 5 days ago and can go one better this time. He probably has the most to fear from AMELIELYMPIQUE (1) who was a nice third on her penultimate start in late November at Salon Provence in a Class 2 race. ATHINEOS (7) is one for the each-way backers to take seriously. WUKHANN (2) has dropped in the ratings and if he can return to some sort of form of old, he can be on the premises.

SELECTIONS
MORSAN (6) – AMELIELYMPIQUE (1) – ATHINEOS (7) – WUKHANN (2)

RACE 5: DE LA RIVIERA COTE D’AZUR LISTED STAKES (FIBRESAND TRACK) (FROM CAGNES-SUR-MER RACE 5) – 2000M – TIME: 21:15 PRIZE MONEY: EUR60000

Summary: Course and distance winner HOOKING (3) arrives after a good third in a Listed contest at Deauville in mid-December and is expected to score. His main threat could be ATLAST (7) who won a Group 3 race last year on the turf at Parislongchamp. He also won on the PSF at Chantilly in October 2023. GLAER (1) warrants respect and can not be overlooked. DAR TOUNGI (6) will be in good heart after success at Deauville in December and warrants respect.

SELECTIONS
HOOKING (3) – ATLAST (7) – GLAER (1) – DAR TOUNGI (6)

RACE 6: DE BORMES-LES-MIMOSAS HANDICAP (FIBRESAND TRACK) (FROM CAGNES-SUR-MER RACE 6) – 1600M – TIME: 21:50 PRIZE MONEY: EUR21000

Summary: WHY CHOPE (12) returned to form at this track when she was second, beaten half a length 10 days ago, she is versatile trip-wise. ANDINO (10) is sure to be competitive and could be the main threat to the selection. He was a decent fourth over 1600m at Chantilly two runs back in May and will strip fitter for a run 10 days ago at this track. SOAN (4) is a recent winner and looks like a safe each-way option. MOWAEVA (9) won over 1300m at this track 10 days ago and warrants respect.

SELECTIONS
WHY CHOPE (12) – ANDINO (10) – SOAN (4) – MOWAEVA (9)

RACE 7: DE SERANON STAKES (FIBRESAND TRACK) (FROM CAGNES-SUR-MER RACE 7) – 1600M – TIME: 22:32 PRIZE MONEY: EUR38000

Summary: Classy performer DARLINGHURST (3) should be too smart for his rivals. He won the Prix De Guiche (Gr.3) on May 11th over 1800m last year and was far from disgraced in Group races after that. He won twice at this racecourse last year, on the PSF and turf. NO LUNCH (9) could be the main danger. He is lightly raced and has a good bit more to come. FERRARI FEVER (1) has been running well all winter and can again be involved in proceedings. THOR LIGHTNING (8) heads the remainder.

SELECTIONS
DARLINGHURST (3) – NO LUNCH (9) – FERRARI FEVER (1) – THOR LIGHTNING (8)

RACE 8: DES GLYCINES HANDICAP (FIBRESAND TRACK) (FROM CAGNES-SUR-MER RACE 8) – 1600M – TIME: 23:07 PRIZE MONEY: EUR25000

Summary: NOLITO (2) has been in top form recently and was a pleasing third at this track over 1300m when last seen 10 days ago. He is preferred to OISSEL (11) who has also been in decent shape and she can make her rivals work hard for success. She has had a short break and will be ready to go. BOZZO (3) will be full of confidence after a win at Chantilly two weeks ago and can be competitive. L’IENISSEI (8) ran well when second recently at Deauville and is also one to keep safe.

SELECTIONS
NOLITO (2) – OISSEL (11) – BOZZO (3) – L’IENISSEI (8)

RACE 9: DE LA BASE SOUS MARINE HANDICAP (FIBRESAND TRACK) (FROM PORNICHET RACE 1) – 2100M – TIME: 23:42 PRIZE MONEY: EUR17000

Summary: LOFSONGUR ICELANDE (3) is an attractive betting proposition in this opening event. She bounced back to form recently and need only repeat that performance off a career-low mark to land the spoils here. However, GOLDEN RIVER (10) and RUE D’ALBRET (5) will make life difficult for the selection, despite carrying penalties for last-start victories. DRIP (9) and FORZA SEDACA (4) are others with legitimate podium aspirations.

SELECTIONS
LOFSONGUR ISLANDE (3) – GOLDEN RIVER (10) – RUE D’ALBRET (5) – DRIP (9)

RACE 10: DE L’ILE D’HOUAT CLAIMING STAKES (FIBRESAND TRACK) (FROM PORNICHET RACE 2) – 2100M – TIME: 00:17 PRIZE MONEY: EUR12000

Summary: LAVIS (10) hasn’t fulfilled expectations but this drop in class (under a lightweight) presents a good opportunity for him to redeem himself. DUESSELDORFER (1) and CORAZON (2), recent winners at this level, remain competitive for victory, with the shortlist completed by MISS CLARCK (6) who is an unknown quantity on this surface. KING RETURN (3) appeals to lovers of outsiders.

SELECTIONS
LAVIS (10) – DUESSELDORFER (1) – CORAZON (2) – MLLE CLARCK (6)

RACE 11: DES CHANTIERS DE L’ANTIQUE HANDICAP (FIBRESAND TRACK) (FROM PORNICHET RACE 3) – 2100M – TIME: 00:52 PRIZE MONEY: EUR15000

Summary: KAHOUNA (1) was very unlucky in her last start at this course and is on a redemption mission. She should relish the rise in trip and gets the vote to score. SEMEUR (12) and ROCK OF SPIRIT (13) are closely matched and both hold leading chances in a race of this nature. PENNBLE (2) remains very game at the age of 12 and is always a horse to fear at this track that he relishes.

SELECTIONS
KAHOUNA (1) – SEMEUR (12) – ROCK OF SPIRIT (13) – PENNBLE (2)

RACE 12: AIRBUS HANDICAP (FIBRESAND TRACK) (FROM PORNICHET RACE 4) – 2100M – TIME: 01:27 PRIZE MONEY: EUR17000

Summary: ASRIEL (5) won at Deauville in a manner that suggests he can follow up under a 2,5kg penalty, eased by his rider’s claim. SHALOHA (2) bounced back to form last time winning over the course & distance ahead of some of today’s rivals and can go well again under the penalty. SCIANTOSA (1) wasn’t far off the former in that specific race and is short list material too. SHIRBAWI (4) is an intriguing candidate on debut on this surface and returning from a break.

SELECTIONS
ASRIEL (5) – SHALOHA (2) – SCIANTOSA (1) – SHIRBAWI (4)
