Race 9 No 8 SILVERY BREEZE

He was gallant in defeat last time out, settling off the speed in an extremely slowly-run race. What stood out was his ability to make significant ground from a wide draw—an effort that adds merit to his performance.

Such a slow pace is rare in Hong Kong, and with a more genuine tempo this time, he has every chance to make amends.

Race 10 No 12 RIGHTEOUS ARION

He had no luck in his last two outings, covering extra ground when caught three-wide throughout and fading before the straight. Despite these setbacks, he was never beaten by more than three lengths on either occasion.

Ideally weighted in this week’s field, a smoother run could see him turn the tables, making him a value contender for an upset.

Race 4 No 9 GOLDENTRONICMIGHTY

After a fast-finishing third to the unbeaten THE BOOM BOX two starts ago, he was undone by a wide draw last time out, yet still clocked the second-fastest final 400m sectional to finish eighth. With some early intent, he could spring a surprise at odds this week.

Race 5 No 6 RAGING RAPIDS

Despite being overlooked in the market, he defied expectations with a solid debut effort, charging home strongly for fifth. With that run under his belt, he looks well-placed to improve and is a genuine contender for a Top 3 finish second-up.
