RACE 1: MARJOLAINE CLAIMING STAKES (FIBRESAND TRACK) – 2000M – TIME: 19:35 PRIZE MONEY: EUR16000
Summary: CHARLESQUINT (2) came back to some of his best form when scoring last time in a
claimer over course and distance late last month. ALPAGE (1) won two runs back over track and
trip in a Class 2 handicap and looks like the main danger. VENTS CONTRAIRES (3) seems to
handle the PSF and is capable of being involved at the business end. BAKHCHISARAY (4) is
also worth considering from an each way perspective.
SELECTIONS
CHARLESQUINT (2) – ALPAGE (1) – VENTS CONTRAIRES (3) – BAKHCHISARAY (4)
RACE 2: PECKINPAH’S HANDICAP (TURF TRACK) – 2400M – TIME: 20:10 PRIZE MONEY: EUR21000
Summary: STATESWOMAN (8) could be the answer in the open handicap. She has been
knocking on the door on the last two starts when second on each one. BONNY WAY (5) she has
had several unplaced runs since a win on this track in February 2024. She can be competitive off
her current handicap rating. POPPIE SAN (6) looks like the best option each way after a recent
fourth-placed run at Pau late last month. PAPA AU RHUM (12) heads the remainder.
SELECTIONS
STATESWOMAN (8) – BONNY WAY (5) – POPPIE SAN (6) – PAPA AU RHUM (12)
RACE 3: BOUCHES/RHONE HANDICAP (TURF TRACK) – 1500M – TIME: 20:55 PRIZE MONEY: EUR53000
Summary: TUMBLER (7) ran well to be third over track and trip in late January in a Class 2 race
and can edge this over his likely main threat ROCK BOY (4) who was one place ahead in second
when they met on January 20th. They were separated by less than a length that day and the race
could be between the pair. AMERICAN FLAG (5) shaped well in a Class 1 race last time over
1600m and can make his rivals work hard for success. LANZELOT GOLD (2) is also in form and
needs considering.
SELECTIONS
TUMBLER (7) – ROCK BOY (4) – AMERICAN FLAG (5) – LANZELOT GOLD (2)
RACE 4: SAN REMO HANDICAP (TURF TRACK) – 2400M – TIME: 21:30 PRIZE MONEY: EUR21000
Summary: VOILA POURQUOI (5) is versatile and acts on most surfaces. His latest was on the
PSF when fourth at this racecourse earlier this month. He will not lack for fitness and can score.
ZAMNESIA (1) shaped well to be third on the turf at this track last time and looks like the main
threat. BREATH OF FIRE (9) is one to side with each way. RED SUGAR (12) is not a frequent
winner but she can make the frame.
SELECTIONS
VOILA POURQUOI (5) – ZAMNESIA (1) – BREATH OF FIRE (9) – RED SUGAR (12)
RACE 5: ISSAMBRES MAIDEN STAKES (FIBRESAND TRACK) – 1600M – TIME: 22:05 PRIZE MONEY: EUR23000
Summary: HE TOUCHED ME (7) could get a deserved success after four useful placed efforts
so far. She has been placed on the PSF on her latest two outings and seems to handle the
surface well. MUNGASHA (1) ran with great promise on his debut when third at this track over
2000m on January 20th on the PSF and drops back 400m today, which could be a positive. LES
PETITS PRINCES (8) has an attractive profile and warrants respect on his debut. KING LUDWIG
(3) is also worth a mention.
SELECTIONS
HE TOUCHED ME (7) – MUNGASHA (1) – LES PETITS PRINCES (8) – KING LUDWIG (3)
RACE 6: D’AVIGNON HANDICAP (TURF TRACK) – 1500M – TIME: 22:40 PRIZE MONEY: EUR18000
Summary: WIND OF CHANGE (1) arrives after two good runs at this track, both over course and
distance late last month, with a win and a second on the latest of them. Both races were in Class
3 handicaps. He is marginally preferred to KENZAL (2) who has been fourth on his last three
starts, the latest over course and distance behind the selection on January 28th. On slightly better
terms he can make things interesting. NOBLE AMBER (5) and DANCE AHEAD (3) are both
logical options each way.
SELECTIONS
WIND OF CHANGE (1) – KENZAL (2) – NOBLE AMBER (5) – DANCE AHEAD (3)
RACE 7: LORD DU SUD HANDICAP (TURF TRACK) – 2400M – TIME: 23:15 PRIZE MONEY: EUR25000
Summary: KING ZARAK (7) was a pleasing second on his latest outing at this track and trip in
late January and can go one place better this time. His main threat looks to be GENERAL JONES
(10) who won on the same track and trip late last month and will be in a good frame of mind after
that success. LUNA ROCK (4) is one to take seriously each way. HASTA LA VISTA (1) heads the
weights and arrives in top form. He can not be ignored.
SELECTIONS
KING ZARAK (7) – GENERAL JONES (10) – LUNA ROCK (4) – HASTA LA VISTA (1)
RACE 8: VINTIMILLE HANDICAP (TURF TRACK) – 2400M – TIME: 23:50 PRIZE MONEY: EUR25000
Summary: MORSAN (4) has been in top form of late and consistent. He won over 2400m at this
track two starts ago and followed that up with a good third when last raced 5 days ago. His main
rival could be JOEY UP (11) who has a decent racing weight and ran a solid race to be third over
track and trip in late January when last seen. MARTIAL ART (12) got off the mark over track and
trip in a maiden last time and warrants respect. ATHINEOS (8) heads the remainder.
SELECTIONS
MORSAN (4) – JOEY UP (11) – MARTIAL ART (12) – ATHINEOS (8)
RACE 9: GARD HANDICAP (TURF TRACK) – 1500M – TIME: 00:25 PRIZE MONEY: EUR27000
Summary: NO LIMIT DREAM (6) has shaped well on his last three starts and is overdue for
another success. He can score from BAIGNADE (4) who was a decent second at this track over
1500m in a Class 2 handicap late last month. If emulating that performance she can feature.
CIOTOLA (5) was around one length behind in fourth in the same race and merits consideration.
TOSTADERO (13) is lightly raced and was a pleasing second in January on his latest start and
has to be respected.
SELECTIONS
NO LIMIT DREAM (6) – BAIGNADE (4) – CIOTOLA (5) – TOSTADERO (13)
