RACE 1: DU CASTEL STAKES (FIBRESAND TRACK) – 1800M – TIME: 20:22 PRIZE MONEY: EUR35000
Summary: HUNTER’S LUCK (2) has been improving with each race and can step up in class after a cosy success at this track in early January in a Class 2 race. BRAVO BAY (7) was second that day and has a length and a half to find to make things interesting. The drop back in trip slightly should not inconvenience either. RAOULE (6) was narrowly beaten into third late last month on her second start and can be involved. NAKED MEMORIES (5) heads the remainder.
SELECTIONS
HUNTER’S LUCK (2) – BRAVO BAY (7) – RAOULE (6) – NAKED MEMORIES (5)
RACE 2: DU CHATEAU DE LA REINE BLANCHE STAKES (FIBRESAND TRACK) – 1900M – TIME: 20:57 PRIZE MONEY: EUR27000
Summary: All unraced with some choice pedigree’s. AUDUBON PARK (1) is from a leading stable that can ready a newcomer. She will be well prepared for a bold show on debut. RUE DE L’ODEON (3) is out of a mare that won and any market support should be an indication of her expected performance. STRAGA (5) is also from a stable that does well with newcomers, she should be monitored in the betting exchanges. AURA (9) is also worth considering.
SELECTIONS
AUDUBON PARK (1) – RUE DE L’ODEON (3) – STRAGA (5) – AURA (9)
RACE 3: MAXIME GARCIA CLAIMING STAKES (FIBRESAND TRACK) – 1900M – TIME: 21:32 PRIZE MONEY: EUR19000
Summary: DEEP LOVE (7) could be the best prospect in this open claimer. He was a good second two runs back in a claimer and scored before that in a claimer on the PSF in early December. His main threat could be AZ ZEIVA (1) who scored in a claimer on his debut in December and was not quite up to Class 2 level on his only other run. HONNEUR’S ORACLE (13) is one to be with each-way. POWER’S PRINCESS (5) warrants respect and can have a say.
SELECTIONS
DEEP LOVE (7) – AZ ZEIVA (1) – HONNEUR’S ORACLE (13) – POWER’S PRINCESS (5)
RACE 4: DE LA GRANGE DE COMMELLES STAKES (FIBRESAND TRACK) – 1900M – TIME: 22:07 PRIZE MONEY: EUR27000
Summary: TITO MO CEN (12) has a taking profile and is out of the smart mare Ravens Lady, who bred Ramatuelle (Gr.1, Gr.2 and Gr.3 winner ). He will be expected to get off the mark on his debut. BEAUVALLON (5) is himself a half-brother to Poetic Flare, who won the English 2,000 guineas and St James Palace Stakes- both Group 1 races and is a leading Stallion. He can be involved. SALAM DUBAWI (1) and ZINGARO (11) are others to consider in a hot looking maiden.
SELECTIONS
TITO MO CEN (12) – BEAUVALLON (5) – SALAM DUBAWI (1) – ZINGARO (11)
RACE 5: DU ROND POINT DES AIGLES STAKES (FIBRESAND TRACK) – 2700M – TIME: 22:42 PRIZE MONEY: EUR27000
Summary: CANDELARI (7) won despite doing a lot wrong on his debut over track and trip in early December. He got left at the start and ran green, but when asked to go about his business at the business end of the race he ran away from his rivals. He can follow up from BLACK HAWK (1) who has more experience and has been in good form of late. KAPANI (3) is one to include in all of the place bet permutations. VADIRUM (2) makes up the shortlist.
SELECTIONS
CANDELARI (7) – BLACK HAWK (1) – KAPANI (3) – VADIRUM (2)
RACE 6: DE LA ROUTE DES GENETS HANDICAP (FIBRESAND TRACK) – 1900M – TIME: 23:17 PRIZE MONEY: EUR23000
Summary: BATAVIUS (8) was a decent third last time out late last month and has been placed several times recently. He can get off the mark in this open handicap from ANIELSKA (1) who has to overcome a wide starting position, but will likely be ridden with some patience by Cristian Demuro. IRISH DU GOUET (2) has been lightly raced and shaped well on his handicap debut when he was fourth late last month at Deauville. LARCIN (7) is also worth a mention.
SELECTIONS
BATAVIUS (8) – ANIELSKA (1) – IRISH DU GOUET (2) – LARCIN (7)
RACE 7: DE LA ROUTE DES GRANDS CHENES HANDICAP (FIBRESAND TRACK) – 1900M – TIME: 23:52 PRIZE MONEY: EUR30000
Summary: ELDIO (3) was a pleasing second on the PSF at Cagnes-Sur-Mer late last month in a Class 3 handicap and has a leading chance of getting his second success. He possibly has the most to fear from STARS AND AWAY (4) who got off the mark on her latest start in a handicap at Deauville late in January. ARIGATO (10) is one to be with each way. NOOTKA BAY (6) is another to consider and can be involved at the business end.
SELECTIONS
ELDIO (3) – STARS AND AWAY (4) – ARIGATO (10) – NOOTKA BAY (6)
RACE 8: DE PLAILLY STAKES (FIBRESAND TRACK) – 1600M – TIME: 00:27 PRIZE MONEY: EUR27000
Summary: APAX (3) got back in the winning groove over track and trip in late December on his latest start in a Class 2 race and has a leading chance of following up. LE NOMADE (10) was second that day beaten in a photo finish. He has since finished sixth over 1400m at this track when given plenty to do. Back over the 1600m will be more suitable. MATURLO (2) also has a leading chance and has solid form in decent races of late. QUASAR (9) makes up the shortlist.
