RACE 1: ASTE BEON STAKES (FIBRESAND TRACK) – 1600M – TIME: 18:51 PRIZE MONEY: EUR22000
Summary: SELENIEN (1) has plenty of talent and was a nice winner of a Class 2 race at Chantilly by 8L on his final start last October. He will be well-tuned for this return run and should be too smart for the promising NOFIX (6) who won at Chantilly on the PSF last month. He has the scope to keep on improving. THORDIS (9) is also progressing with race experience and has each-way claims. EPONINE (8) won well on debut and looks a useful prospect.
SELECTIONS
SELENIEN (1) – NOFIX (6) – THORDIS (9) – EPONINE (8)
RACE 2: BORDES HANDICAP (FIBRESAND TRACK) – 1600M – TIME: 19:23 PRIZE MONEY: EUR20000
Summary: BLUE LILAS (1) has been third on all three of her runs. She looks honest and is the tentative selection ahead of VERMEER (2) who got off the mark in a maiden at this track in late January after being second before that in a claimer. He was claimed that day and has the size and scope to keep improving. VARENNE (6) won a claimer at this track last month and now runs for new connections. PAINT CHOP (9) heads the rest.
SELECTIONS
BLUE LILAS (1) – VERMEER (2) – VARENNE (6) – PAINT CHOP (9)
RACE 3: MEILLON HANDICAP (FIBRESAND TRACK) – 2000M – TIME: 19:55 PRIZE MONEY: EUR16000
Summary: ROYAL ETINCELLE (1) can defy top-weight and win a gain on a track he seems to excel on. He probably has the most to fear from LA FILLE DE BERLIN (12) who arrives after two good runs, with a win over track and trip in mid-January on the latest of them. VICTORY CAT (8) 5th on her last start over 1600m at this track in a Class 3 handicap on January 29th. Place contender. TOP GLORY (4) Back in the winner’s circle last time over 1600m in a Class 3 handicap at this track on January 29th. One to pay attention too
SELECTIONS
ROYAL ETINCELLE (1) – LA FILLE DE BERLIN (12) – VICTORY CAT (8) – TOP GLORY (4)
RACE 4: DE COARRAZE MAIDEN STAKES (FIBRESAND TRACK) – 2000M – TIME: 20:27 PRIZE MONEY: EUR21000
Summary: MY OWN FLAG (1) ran with promise on her debut when she was sixth at Bordeaux Le Bouscat last October and warrants respect. With little form to go on it may pay to side with experience. BLUE ELIE (9) has shown she is capable of winning a race of this nature and was a decent second at Tarbes last September in a maiden race. LADY WANDA (8) Unplaced last time, 4th before that over 2000m in a maiden at Pau on January 19th. Still looking for that first win after 8 starts but has ability. CHA’HORE (5) has current form this year and faired well 7 days ago when third on this track over 1400m.
SELECTIONS
MY OWN FLAG (1) – BLUE ELIE (9) – LADY WANDA (8) – CHA’HORE (5)
RACE 5: DE NAY MAIDEN STAKES (FIBRESAND TRACK) – 2000M – TIME: 21:12 PRIZE MONEY: EUR21000
Summary: SCOTTIE THE HOTTIE (8) ran with plenty of promise when he was third at this venue in early January when third over 1600m. With normal improvement, he can play a leading role.
BALBEC (2) caught the eye when he was fourth on his debut at this track last month and will be sharper for that experience. He looks the main danger. LE TIRAILLEUR (4) Improved effort to be 2nd over track and trip in a claimer on January 21st. One to consider each way. LAST VIKING (11) Newcomer by Cloth Of Stars, the dam won three races. From a respected trainer who can ready one for a bold run on debut. The betting can be the best guide
SELECTIONS
SCOTTIE THE HOTTIE (8) – BALBEC (2) – LE TIRAILLEUR (4) – LAST VIKING (11)
RACE 6: MAUCOR HANDICAP (FIBRESAND TRACK) – 2000M – TIME: 21:47 PRIZE MONEY: EUR19000
Summary: PERROU (4) looks like the one to be with in this open handicap. He has faired well on both of his recent outings and is a marginal choice ahead of VIS LE REVE (5) who has been second on his last two runs, the latter over 1600m at this track in late January. He is sure to give a good account of himself. GREAT PROMISE (7) is one to include in all of the place bet permutations. CHARM KING (13) 5th last time out, 4th before that over 2000m at Pau in a Class 3 handicap on January 17th. Seems to run well on this track
SELECTIONS
VIS LE REVE (5) – PERROU (4) – GREAT PROMISE (7) – MAD WHIP (13)
RACE 7: CONSEIL GENERAL HANDICAP (FIBRESAND TRACK) – 2000M – TIME: 22:22 PRIZE MONEY: EUR23000
Summary: SOGYNT (9) has been knocking at the door on his last three starts and can get a deserved success. DOCTOR RON (2) was a course winner over 1600m last November and if he stays this trip he can be involved at the business end. PIANO MAN (7) put in a good run last time when he was second at the end of January and is one to keep safe. BELLE ANSE (3) is a recent course and distance winner and is hard to rule out.
SELECTIONS
SOGYNT (9) – DOCTOR RON (2) – PIANO MAN (7) – BELLE ANSE (3)
