RACE 1: DES BENEVOLES MAIDEN STAKES (TURF TRACK) (FROM LIGNIERES RACE 4) – 1600M – TIME: 18:41 PRIZE MONEY: EUR9000
Summary: BONDINI (10) had three placed efforts last year, one of them at this racecourse over
1600m in March 2024. She is capable of getting her first success. NATIVE PEARL (3) has been
fifth on her last two runs and can have a say in proceedings. REINE DE BAVIERE (4) has only run
twice and was a decent third at Marseille Borely in May last year. She can make the frame. LOVE
HER (7) ran well on debut and heads the rest.
SELECTIONS
BONDINI (10) – NATIVE PEARL (3) – REINE DE BAVIERE (4) – LOVE HER (7)
RACE 2: QUINCY JONES HANDICAP (TURF TRACK) (FROM FONTAINEBLEAU RACE 3) – 1600M – TIME: 18:57 PRIZE MONEY: EUR18000
Summary: IHOA (3) did not enjoy the best of run last time out at Chantilly on the all-weather and
can be given another chance back on turf today. Respectively third and fourth in a mile contest at
Lignières a week ago, OCTOBER CHOPE (10) and WHATEVER IT COSTS (9) can have serious
aspirations in a race of this nature. URI (1) is always one to fear in this division and can also be
given some consideration.
SELECTIONS
IHOA (3) – OCTOBER CHOPE (10) – WHATEVER IT COSTS (9) – URI (1)
RACE 3: DE LIGNIERES MAIDEN STAKES (TURF TRACK) (FROM LIGNIERES RACE 5) – 3200M – TIME: 19:13 PRIZE MONEY: EUR9000
Summary: ANDOUINS (6) had several placed runs in 2024, over various distances and on the turf
and the PSF. He was recently sixth on the PSF at Chantilly and this looks like a good opportunity
to get off the mark in a race that will not take much winning. CIAO MA (10) was a decent fourth two
runs back at Cagnes-Sur-Mer in January and could be the main rival. AL MUZAFFAR (4) and
HELSINKOEUR (9) can duel for minor honours.
SELECTIONS
ANDOUINS (6) – CIAO MA (10) – AL MUZAFFAR (4) – HELSINKOEUR (9)
RACE 4: JEAN GILLOIS MAIDEN STAKES (TURF TRACK) (FROM FONTAINEBLEAU RACE 4) – 2200M – TIME: 19:29 PRIZE MONEY: EUR27000
Summary: CODICE (4) has been crying out for a rise in trip in her recent runs and just gets it here
on her first attempt on the turf. She can score at the expense of BENAMIRA (8), a debutant filly by
Waldgeist owned by the Aga Khan Studs that is bred to stay all day. MARINALEDA (9) comes from
a yard that knows how to get newcomers ready and should be feared. SANDY EAGLE (2) showed
plenty of progress in her second career start and also has what it takes to win a race of the nature.
SELECTIONS
CODICE (4) – BENAMIRA (8) – MARINALEDA (9) – SANDY EAGLE (2)
RACE 5: DE SAMOREAU HANDICAP (TURF TRACK) (FROM FONTAINEBLEAU RACE 5) – 1100M – TIME: 20:03 PRIZE MONEY: EUR23000
Summary: HY DREAM (9) has been a disappointment of late but this course and distance is to
her liking and she can bounce back to score. HORTENSIA BASC (3) always gives of her best and
should be very competitive in this line-up. BAILEYS BACHELOR (6) struggled at Chantilly last time
out but was in good form before that and is not out of it. FIRE REBEL (8) likes this course and can
also get involved with the finish.
SELECTIONS
HY DREAM (9) – HORTENSIA BASC (3) – BAILEYS BACHELOR (6) – FIRE REBEL (8)
RACE 6: DES GRANDS CERFS MAIDEN STAKES (TURF TRACK) (FROM FONTAINEBLEAU RACE 6) – 2200M – TIME: 20:40 PRIZE MONEY: EUR27000
Summary: LIBYAN KNIGHT (1) showed promise in his first two starts and holds an entry in the
Prix du Jockey-Club (Gr.1), so one would hope he is good enough to beat these rivals. MY SECRET
LIGHT (8) flopped on the PSF in his only run of this year but did show signs of ability last year and
can contest the finish. EASY ON ME (11) finished off his race well on debut and steps up in distance
so can score. PONTOS (6) was not far behind LIBYAN KNIGHT (1) when they met and is clearly
not out of it.
SELECTIONS
LIBYAN KNIGHT (1) – MY SECRET LIGHT (8) – EASY ON ME (11) – PONTOS (6)
RACE 7: DES CHARMES HANDICAP (TURF TRACK) (FROM FONTAINEBLEAU RACE 7) – 1600M – TIME: 21:15 PRIZE MONEY: EUR23000
Summary: LALA LIGHT (5) was a good winner last time out at Lyon-La Soie in December. He can
follow up but it is a competitive handicap. LES TROIS VALLEES (7) and BURSARD (9) have been
disappointing of late but will like it back on the grass and are capable of troubling the judge.
SIMONS KING (10) is also returning to the turf and is one of a few more that can surprise.
SELECTIONS
LALA LIGHT (5) – LES TROIS VALLEES (7) – BURSARD (9) – SIMONS KING (10)
RACE 8: DU ROCHER DE LA TORTUE HANDICAP (TURF TRACK) (FROM FONTAINEBLEAU RACE 8) – 1100M – TIME: 21:50 PRIZE MONEY: EUR30000
Summary: WILD WEST (2) goes well at this track and jockey Christophe Soumillon gets a good
tune out of him so he does get a confident vote to score. ROYALWOOD (5) is fit and in good form
so can fight out the finish once again. SCARFACE (1) drops in distance and can be competitive in
this line-up. BACCHILIDE (3) has done well for Alexis Pouchin before and can be a lively danger.
SELECTIONS
WILD WEST (2) – ROYALWOOD (5) – SCARFACE (1) – BACCHILIDE (3)
RACE 9: GEORGES DERCOURT HANDICAP (TURF TRACK) (FROM FONTAINEBLEAU RACE 9) – 1600M – TIME: 22:32 PRIZE MONEY: EUR30000
Summary: HUNGRY HEART (1) was not disgraced in his recent comeback run and will do a lot
better this time. He may well take out this lucky last race. LEPARD (6) has been in good form this
year and will not go down without a challenge for top honours. STELLANIA (11) returns from a
break but did win a handicap over this course and distance in November so can score if fit.
MASTER PAT (12) can also make the frame.
SELECTIONS
HUNGRY HEART (1) – LEPARD (6) – STELLANIA (11) – MASTER PAT (12)
RACE 10: DU CHATEAU DE LA GROULAIS HANDICAP (FIBRESAND TRACK) (FROM PORNICHET RACE 1) – 2100M – TIME: 23:07 PRIZE MONEY: EUR17000
Summary: Jockey Laura Poggionovo gets the ride on ROMANELLO (4) and he has been pretty
good lately and can go one better this time. GOGUEN SPAISE (3) has not won for some time now
but was a good third last time out and can be a threat in this line-up. PLUMBAGO (12) showed
improvement last time out and can get involved with the finish. CALON LAN (1) ran well at Pau last
month and is another to consider.
SELECTIONS
ROMANELLO (4) – GOGUEN SPAISE (3) – PLUMBAGO (12) – CALON LAN (1)
RACE 11: DU CHATEAU LE CARDINAL HANDICAP (FIBRESAND TRACK) (FROM PORNICHET RACE 2) – 2100M – TIME: 23:42 PRIZE MONEY: EUR15000
Summary: A very competitive looking handicap. RIVOLI (1) is in good shape and clearly likes this
track and trip but has yet to win a race. KENITZA (4) is not reliable and may be better suited to a
shorter distance but is capable of winning a race at this level. SPRINGBOKS (10) was not disgraced
in a claimer last time out and can do even better this time around. SUHAAS (2) showed some
improvement over this course and distance last time out and has scope for further improvement.
SELECTIONS
RIVOLI (1) – KENITZA (4) – SPRINGBOKS (10) – SUHAAS (2)
